Why did I almost cry watching this?  I feel like when I was a kid I always wanted to live in a world with Pokémon and this movie is pretty much that! Although I'm a little confused about the creature designs, it looks more like they're toys based on Pokémon than real Pokémon. Either way I'm excited for this, I hope they do it justice!

They are based off of the new pokemon looks. Hopefully they make this good.

You mean the redesigns from the anime? At least they didn’t give the main character that creepy face that Ash has...

I don't know what to feel about this. While I'm inclined to say I'll watch it for the sake of watching it, I'm also cringing pretty hard at the design. Although, I am glad they don't look super CGed out and completely out of place.

I think the design will definitely take some getting used to, but you are right - I'd prefer this to a bad CGI job.

I hope this movie does well, I'd love to see Pokémon become a franchise like the MCU!  I'm here for A Jigglypuff Is Born, The Greatest ShowMime and their crossover hit The Pokévengers!
