Heartbreak Anthem
Following the highly-acclaimed Spirit, Echo was Leona Lewis' second studio album. It saw her working with many "name" producers, such as: Max Martin, Harvey Mason Jnr, John Shanks & Ryan Tedder, among others, however, Syco⏤much like with the release of Spirit⏤mishandled the fuck out of this era. "Happy" was the album's lead single and while praised by critics, I felt like it provided a false start to the era, and isn't a single-worthy release. I would have kicked-off the era with its second single, "I Got You" and went from there. Praised as the next Mariah Carey, Céline Dion & Whitney Houston, I do believe Lewis was always set up to fail by Syco and her management, and it's unfortunate because of her powerful gift. Track listing Happy I Got You Love Letter Can't Breathe You Don't Care Outta My Head Brave My Hands Alive Don't Let Me Down Fly Here Now Broken Naked Singles I Got You Can't Breathe Outta My Head Don't Let Me Down Broken

Drive 6. Roman Holiday 7. Ghost 8. Hurricane (Optional Addition) 9. Colors + Colors II 10. Coming Down 11. Is There Somewhere 12. Haunting 13. Gasoline 14. Young God 15. I Walk The Line @Ice Princedid a very similar tracklist that share the same placements as Empty Gold and Is There Somewhere share. Hurricane is such a great song and deserves to be on the front of the album but I couldn't place it anywhere between drive and roman holiday since those songs are made for each other. I put it after Ghost as thats the track run on Room 93 and works pretty well! even if it interferes with the cohesion from Ghost to Colors. But anyway omitting Control is blasphemous smh

I always thought Naked, Can't Breathe or My Hands would have been better singles than I Got You. And I'd probably lowkey swap Love Letter with Let It Rain or Lost Then Found (not to mention scrapped songs like Scene of the Crime or Save Myself that could've made the album). Yeah, imo Empty Gold and Is There Somewhere really deserved a spot in the album oh for sure. especially is there somewhere, like i was so shook it wasn't on the album when i was navigating her discog. i mean she did a japanese bonus track tho but its not the same, it fits so well with coming down in it's lyrical content. i truly love badlands but cohesion is the one thing it lacks (mainly on the deluxe in some places, the standard was alright in terms of track run but having Ghost as a closer is just a huge no for me). i think if we had the tracklist like mine or smth it would have been more cohesive imo, espically since it's a concept album.
Crystal <3
CANDYLAND by Brooke Candy (2024) Tracklist Spoiler 1. Das Still Me 2. Flip Phone 3. Crisis (feat. lozeak) 4. Next Bitch 5. Crucify My Love 6. Wreck Me 7. ATM 8. Juicy Fruit 9. Safe Word 10. Fish 11. Expertise (feat. Namasedna & Cecile Believe) 12. Respectfully 13. Dirty Money (feat. DETO BLACK) 14. Go Go Go 15. Block 16. Angel Tattoo 17. Dirty Little Freak 18. Spiral Once again, most of my tracklist is based of @Ice Prince's re-arrange (and retitlement) of the album. CANDYLAND took time to grow on me but as a overall project its a mess. Not including flip phone is honestly a crime. Gag has great production but terrible lyricism. Hysteria is cute, I like blackout but i didnt feel like it fitted with the album. I might condense this but 18 songs have built up 40+ minutes which to me is an average album length, some of these songs are too short. BABYNYMPH killed the dirty money production but also has this issue with her own music being too short but ANYWAY. I need expertise in HQ also, love namasenda and cecile, idk why she brooke removed this bop from spiral. this era has been musically messy.

Flip Phone is the best song she's released since the RCA days so idk how in hell did she decide to skip it from either of her new albums. i'm honestly not too fond of several of her recent songs but some I do enjoy, but i fear this will be it for her pop music. she seems so over it atp and i bet she can't wait to move on from this sound - that's probably why these eras have been a mess. shame, cause Flip Phone, Crisis, Wreck Me, Safe Word or Dirty Little Freak are some serious bops and definitely deserved more.

Ice Prince
Florrie - Give Me Your Love (2010) Instead of the Introduction EP released in 2010 as Florrie's debut extended play, she instead went for a full studio effort including the other tracks she released earlier that year. It is also retitled Give Me Your Love as for its title track being a fan-favourite. The era begins with "Call 911" and continues with other tracks like "Fascinate Me", "Come Back to Mine" and "Panic Attack" as promotional singles throughout the year. Ultimately, "Fascinate Me", "Give Me Your Love" and the first Fred Falke mix of "Panic Attack" are subsequently released as official singles to follow up the commercial success of "Call 911". Singles from Give Me Your Love: "Call 911" (12 July 2010) "Fascinate Me" (3 September 2010) "Give Me Your Love" (28 October 2010) "Panic Attack" (8 November 2010) Track listing: Call of the Wild Give Me Your Love Fascinate Me Fred Falke version Call 911 Radio mix You Wanna Start Something Summer Nights Panic Attack Fred Falk mix 2 Come Back to Mine Jaxon remix edit Left Too Late Call 911 Florrie remix; Exclusive Florrie website bonus track
