Also, the fact that Lana is apparently a Bonnie stan? Like she even knows the deep cuts and about her YouTube channel? We love seeing queens support other queens

Thinking of Lana bopping to Hot City or Jenny or Forever 21 made me giggle a bit lol, imagine Lana, one of the artists with most leaks ever, bopping to actual leaks :cackle:

Nah, maybe she somehow got to listen to the album in an exclusive way like they do for interviews and stuff, and that would be awesome. I can't help but fantasise about the basically null chance for them to collab someday :yeah:

Spotify didn't put SLAY on the New Music Friday playlist :awkwardney:

Is there anything we can do in the form of an online petition/ demonstration?

They are surely on Twitter & IG etc, can’t we use customer power to force them to do an about turn and reconsider?

The fact they have not play-listed her, opens them up to accusations of receiving payola from the major label system in exchange for playlist inclusion (by those type of artists).

Surely that is not a narrative they would want any fanbase to get behind?

baby they do not care if 35 people on twitter yell at them for not adding a random artist to a playlist that's completely arbitrary

If you genuinely do consider inclusion on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist (one of their most important playlists), to not be influential in generating heat surrounding an artist attempting to grow their base.. then okay.

The rate at which the view count of this very thread rises, day on day - makes it pretty clear a whole lot more than just 35 people are viewing it as their ‘go to’ news source of all things Bonnie related and there is every chance those people are on Twitter/ IG/ TikTok.

I did not say any of that, but go off queen.

The fact of the matter is that Spotify is not going to add a song to the playlist just because a SMALL fanbase is badgering them on Twitter. If it were that easy, then the playlist would be a lot different than it is. The song will or won't get playlisted as it grows organically. Not every single new song that drops is on that playlist every week, Spotify picks and chooses as they see fit (and based on who is paying for it). It's just that simple, bud. Bonnie will have her moment when it happens, you can't just expect it to all fall into her lap immediately for a song that's over a decade old and has no real major marketing budget behind it.

So basically, it’s not a secret to anyone that Spotify will agree to playlist tracks on their most influential mainstream playlists in exchange for cold hard cash and whilst Bonnie’s budget stretches to a video, it does not quite stretch that far.

Therefore she misses out at the hands of a corrupt system that is open to abuse (most frequently by major labels).

Shit stinks.
