Zeno Posted June 28, 2023 Share Posted June 28, 2023 Alright, it still feels surreal we're finally able to (properly) listen to this and I'll try to be as objective as possible regarding the whole situation surrounding her career. It was tough to accept the album was not coming out anymore back in the day as I genuinely worshipped American Girl and the rest of the tracks she performed live throughout that time. I believe releasing the album now could represent something quite interesting in today's music scene since unlike the early 10s, nobody is properly pursuing the euphoric and extra rich dance sound that belongs to those years (there are only a couple of indie attempts). With some support, Bonnie could genuinely build her niche and start a movement. Also thanks to TikTok's obsession with nostalgia, the late 00s-Early 10s could become the new 80s, they most likely will tbh.
