If she doesn't release the album this year it will never come out. She still has the mentality she had back in 2013 about getting hits. Chances are even slimmer now, because she's independent and older.

That’s something I agree with. She should do it like Lana del Rey does, and she’d have lots of loyal fans who relate to her, instead of chasing hits. She’s got a lot of great songs and personality for that

I love the reality check y'all are serving! Very refreshing and much needed after all of our collective delusion due to her incessant trolling this year. Her editing the SLAY video is the new "mixing/polishing the album as we speak" and soon she'll say she made up her mind and is making every song a single and is "editing/polishing music videos for all the songs on the album" which means she'll postpone the release until summer 2023. On the rare occasion she snaps and does release something she'll inevitably pull the plug on the project because in her mind she'd love every song to go viral and to have a Teenage Dream type of album cycle. I wonder when she'll realize we've perfected our Lie Detector.mp3 by now, and we know all her tricks.

Also, the SLAY slander really does needs to stop. Indeed, the cheerleader spelling bee anthemic pageantry + the 1999 line and then the heart-felt emotional bonfire acoustic sing-along rendition???? It's all camp, 110% Bonnie, and had it been released by any other A-list pop gurls y'all would've eaten it up no crumbs left

SLAY is a fucking masterpiece and I will die on that hill. Those little cheerleader moves she does while performing that song live... pop perfection.

COME ON EVERYBODY LET'S GO :bop:

It's not in my top 3 of the sessions but S.L.A.Y. is an iconic stamp in the (remaining) Bonnie fandom and has the elements to become a return to form for her after the Thorns era so I don't see why it would not be released as the next single. The only reason we all know: Bonnie mixing it as we speak.

At least we have it and we can bop to it!

Cutting through the discourse to share that if we needed more proof that Bonnie is a bop factory, here it is:

I picked my mom up to run some errands the other day. Die Happy came on in the car and she was singing along by the second chorus. “This is like disco. I love it!”!

Right? My younger siblings absolutely BOP to Forever 21, Hit Me Up, S.L.A.Y. and Electric Heaven. I've been tempted on sharing stories of us bopping the Epic songs in the car and tagging Bonnie, but I'm scared she would sue me or something :cackle:

If she really lurks around here, I hope she sees this. Idk if she’ll get a viral hit with the new or old stuff. In a just world, she would, but I t’s so hard to breakthrough. When you start with music as catchy and danceable as she makes though, the likelihood could be that much greater.

Well, the good news is the final versions of a lot of the Epic tracks are circulating, so they may start leaking in the coming months. If Bonnie isn’t gonna release this album herself, we’re gonna get it one way or the other.

True. Maybe it's hopeless optimism, but to be fair, the question was about the album release date, not if it would release as a whole. Knowing her and the fact that she is spending her time with her boyfriend's band's merch, I'm not very hopeful, but the album may be coming out either way, and she was referring to other things.
