If there´s nothing by next summer, we should all collaborate on a Youtube doc* called "Breaking (Bad) Bonnie´s Hard Drive" where we discuss our favourite songs, what could´ve/should´ve been a massive hit and how we waited longer than my large penis based on empty promises and false hope.

*Warning: This documentary contains words that some fans might find triggering such as "soon", "this summer" and "it´s coming".

I’m in.

In 2013, McKee signed a contract with Epic Records and released "American Girl", which had a low commercial performance but was well received by the public. McKee and her label so far were in a conflict due to McKee's need for creative freedom. Eventually, McKee left Epic Records.

During an interview with Idolator McKee revealed that she wrote over 100 songs, and that she plans to continue releasing recordings independently.[2]

It’s like, “I’m tired of waiting. I want to get a batch of songs to my fans.” I have 100 songs and I want all of them to come out. Of course, I have to pick my babies and kill my darlings and stuff. I really am looking forward to doing a full length, but I’m just putting this EP to see what happens, see what opportunities come my way. I have a whole album’s worth of material that I wrote when I was on Epic ready to go.

I just find it hilarious she's been saying the exact same thing since 2014. I'm lowkey shook she even managed to release her debut album, although that was while she was under a major label so maybe the only way to force a pathological-liar-turned-pop-star to release new music is to corner them using some clauses in their contract and threaten legal action if they refuse to cooperate.

I found it funny when one of you guys said that maybe she left Epic because they wanted her to release the album, but what if that's exactly what had happened? :cypher: We're talking about an artist who, by her own admission, loves to tweak songs for multiple decades, and somebody who had been writing a (I'm sorry) mediocre Christmas song for almost 10 years. I can SO see Epic being like, c'mon Bonnie, let's get the damn album out the door," and her being a drama queen about it and telling them she needs to keep writing. Maybe they ran out of patience and THEN refused to work with/support her because she wasn't meeting deadlines.

The fact we're supposed to be getting a full-length album with all the Epic songs, Die Happy, the shelved Thorns record + the 2019 album + whatever other songs she promised THIS SUMMER (which is, what, 2 months away?) and there's no release date in sight, no promo, nothing makes it very clear to me she'll announce that she's recording a brand new album coming out very soon in summer 2023 along with her entire unreleased catalogue and music video/short film for every song!! Also, stay tuned for April Kills the Vibe Netflix series and April Kills the Vibe Broadway Musical, and April Kills the High School Musical crossover.

“I’m tired of waiting. I want to get a batch of songs to my fans.”

Now I understand why you guys who follow her for years are so skeptical about Bonnie releasing anything this summer. She really is a liar shook.png I thought you were just being harsh on her.

April Kills The Vibe is an excerpt from a larger series I’ve been working on. I want to tell the story of my experiences being a female recovering addict in the cut-throat music industry. It is music based, but not a ‘musical’ in the traditional sense, so I’ll get to merge all of my favorite things together in one place — music, storytelling and style.

Maybe she's doing a full-on visual album and that's why things are taking so long?
