This is my updated Epic album tracklist:

01. Sparkles (Intro - don't know yet if I keep it)// 02. American Girl // 03. Hot City // 04. Waking Up Diagonal // 05. Hit Me Up // 06. I Wanna Fucking Call You (basically the same topic as HMU, so I put them next to each other)// 07. There Will Be Tears// 08. Rewind Your Heart// 09. Everything But You (replaced it with the final version)// 10. Love You To Pieces// 11. Last Call Lovers// 12. SLAY// 13. Somebodys Gonna Get Hurt// 14. I Can Still Dance// 15. Stars In Your Heart

There Will Be Tears is 2010 and I Can Still Dance like 2019 though

I don't see why it's "hard to feel bad" for her. She's an independent artist and she likes to put things out on her own terms. I get that we've been waiting for official releases and new stuff from Bonnie but at the end of the day, she doesn't owe us anything - fan or not.

I think she's taking her time building a new following via TikTok and the return to favor of bubblegum/dance/80s pop probably means she'll feel more at home releasing new/old music. She made it pretty clear that she was going to hold onto any of the Epic stuff until current trends were more suitable.

She also stated that it didn't feel right putting out new music during the pandemic. In addition, she seemed pretty focused on honing her acting skills and promoting her short film, which by all accounts, has performed pretty well for her as a first time director.

I'm happy to wait however long she wants to take to put this out in an official capacity because I know it'll be done to her liking when it is. I'll buy any physical format she releases in and stream elsewhere.

Like she's been doing with her songwriting credits on TikTok, I think it would be wise to release a YT doc or podcast detailing her years in the pop music machine - Breaking Bonnie 2.0 (the title even has a double meaning this many years later). She should talk all about the creation of the Epic album, how it broke down, how it made her feel, and why she ended up independent.

She can talk about how artists make it nowadays and why she's choosing to release reworked versions of her old music. I think there's an appetite for the type of insight she can provide, both for BonBons and pop music fans in general. She's seen the highs and lows of an industry that, ultimately, very few get to see, so I'd love to hear her tell all while showing everyone how it's done.

I don’t disagree with you. It’s not amazing that the fans had to hear it like this. It would have been lovely to be able to buy and support - I think we could all agree on that. While I don’t think she’s been great to fans by constantly promising releases that don’t happen, I can definitely sympathize with how she’d feel knowing her “life’s work” is being fought over by the gays.

I really hope she’s able to take all of the buying and selling and trading as a compliment by the end of the day - all of the petty drama is because everyone is so starved for her music library.

I don't believe that I Can Still Dance is from 2019. But to be honest I don't even care what year the song is from. Sonically it fits well! And I added There Will Be Tears because its THAT good. I couldn't hide it under a pile of older songs.

But on another note; I think she won a couple new fans with these leaks, right? I didn't really check her music out before but I will from now on and if she ever manages to release an album, I will buy it. She's so talented and her voice is a 38 on a scale from 1 to 10. It's a shame, that these songs we're hidden all these years

I'll never understand this "artist doesn't owe us anything" logic and I'll forever refuse to understand it. Call me obtuse or whatever, I Don't Care.m4a--she's a public figure and wants to make a living by creating products (=songs) for her customers (=fans). Whoever your customers are, you should treat them with respect and make sure they're pleased with the product you're selling them.

In her case, she's making great music, but for whatever reason chooses not to release it. Imagine Apple teasing a new iPhone for 15+ years. Would the customers wait that long or would they move on to other competitors? Can you still apply the overused "They don't owe you anything" logic? Sure, in general, no one owes you anything, but if your goal is to be a pop star, you'd better make sure you're delivering on your promise, and promises there have been many, way too many to count, all of which have never been kept.

The way she's been treating her fans is odd to say the least, and her lack of understanding why these leaks continue to happen mind-boggling. Also, she's not the only female independant artist in existence. Is it hard? Yes. Is it expensive? Absolutely. But there're many indie singers with less of a following who are worse off financially and they're still able to put out an album or two in 3 years.

I mean if you look at some of the fileshare sites, it says like "70 downloads" for some of these songs. We're a small, rabid group of individuals that will support either way. Hopefully she sees the impact of these leaks is very minimal and doesn't let that prevent her from releasing. It's gotta suck but Charli is close to her first UK #1 Album and her shit leaks when she hits export on Ableton Live.

I think art is completely different and when dealing with artists - even if it is just silly pop music at the end of the day - you're kind of at the whim of the creator. I'm sure she's aware her potential as pop's it girl has come and gone. If you're older than 21, the clock is ticking. She'd probably rather take her time, develop music videos how she wants and only release when it's ready.

She's talked about how Bombastic continues to get synced for movie and tv trailers to this day. That little indie EP continues to pay the bills for her. Even Bad Girls Go To Heaven ended up in a Charlie's Angels trailer. I don't know why she doesn't see that success as proof of her ability and reason to have a more constant output, but she seems incredibly protective of her work. You can't really fault her for it, as frustrating as it can be.
