It's been 7 MONTHS since SLAY. Jesus when you put it that way….. I hate to be negative but Bonnie ought to face the reality that this album isn’t going to smash or become a pop juggernaut akin to her Katy/Luke/Max days. I think she thinks it has that potential. She needs to just announce the dates, release a new single, tour, etc. Like yesterday. Idk what the good sis is waiting for? She hit pause on her music career for years and now that she’s back in the fray we get hit with long gaps again… she’s either waiting closer to summer to make this a Pride album or is simply being too precious / hesitant to put more songs out bc for some reason she has to painstakingly plan the rollout, timed perfectly to the way the angle of the sun hits her Hollywood Hills pool at 2:05 on a Thursday afternoon. Girl just drop the music. Edited January 29 by sunlightzone 4 1 Quote

Girl just drop the music. Yeah, I've said this before but she seems to be obsessed with giving this album a proper roll-out like it would have had in 2014. The problem is... it's not 2014 anymore. A decade has gone by and the way people consume music has changed drastically. Most artists don't even bother with music videos nowadays. The most important thing is releasing music consistently. And it's incredibly frustrating because when Bonnie went indie she kept saying how she was so excited to release more music without a label holding her back... and then we got one 4-track EP and a couple one-off singles over the course of 10 years. Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon with what Bonnie has delivered so far. The quality of everything has been top tier with big pop girl energy, but it's frustrating that it isn't making the noise we all hoped for. And I think the gaps / setbacks are to blame. Bonnie has put too much focus on trying to go viral on TikTok instead of releasing music consistently. IMO she should have tried to book a few big Pride festival gigs to coincide with the release of "SLAY" and then drip-feed one song every 2 - 4 weeks on streaming to help build a new audience and some hype leading up to the album release. We don't need a video for every song. I think visuals for "SLAY", "Hot City", "Forever 21" and maybe "I Wanna F**king Call You" would encapsulate the era perfectly. I know she really wants this to be a summer album, so hopefully she picks up some momentum again in the coming months and we finally get a tracklist / release date. 5 Quote

Physical copies are supposed to be coming too, hopefully she ended up getting the rights to "Last Call Lover" back 1 Quote
BraveNewSeth Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I’ve pretty much given up on this album being released. If it is, great. If not, we have most of the demos and final mixes so it really doesn’t matter anyways. 4 Quote
T2P Posted January 30 Posted January 30 i have not given up… many major label artists take over a year to release albums now. i am 100% certain there is at least another single and video coming. i still support u bonnie 👋 4 Quote

Guys, it’s coming… she’s just taking her time… imagine putting up a whole album on your own, must be very difficult. And she already filmed the mv for F21, we just have to be patient 2 Quote

BraveNewSeth Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I know I’ve said this before, but my frustration with Bonnie really stems from her lack of communication. I’m sure a lot of us would feel a lot more comfortable if she would just tell us what the hold up is. If the rumors about her having a distribution deal are true and that’s causing delays, that’s okay. It’s great actually, because that means we may actually get physical copies of the album rather than everything being digital. But just TELL us. It’s frustrating because there was so much hype in the beginning with the release of SLAY and Hot City, and now she squandered it all and it feels like we’re back at square one with her. 3 Quote

Like for privacy reasons / agreements / whatever. I don't know much about legal stuff but maybe she can't say some things for contractual reasons. Idk I'm just guessing 1 Quote
