I'd love to be able to do this on iTunes, I don't have a last fm account. I'm always going through my top 100 most played though.

You should post your top 100 most played for the year of 2016, I'd love to see them!

I didn't use LastFM last year, but I counted my combined (for example SP with and without Tinashe) iTunes plays for all the songs released/leaked in 2016 and here is my top 10

1. Britney Spears - Slumber Party - 805
2. Britney Spears - Make Me - 737
3. Britney Spears - Private Show - 295 
4. Ariana Grane - Into You - 284
5. Katy Perry - Witness (Demo) - 263
6. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman - 245
7. Tove Lo - Influence - 241
8. Ariana Grande - Be Alright - 200
9. Rihanna - Desperado - 193
10. Katy B - I Wanna Be - 192

I think it's pretty clear that my most listened album of 2016 was Glory with about 2500 plays.

The whole list is a bit messy though, because nor Make Me, Private Show, Influence, Be Alright are in my top 5 from each album, yet they have most plays. MM/PS can be explained, because they were new, same with Influence which she released as a Christmas gift for fans in 2015 so I was listening to both versions a lot in 2016.

My top songs of 2016 are a bit different though, no order:

• Katy B - I Wanna Be
• Britney Spears - Slumber Party
• Rihanna - Kiss It Better
• Ariana Grande - Into You
• Tove Lo - Lady Wood
• BANKS - Gemini Feed
• Katy Perry - Witness (I don't count it that much though, cause it will probably end up on my 2017 list)
• JoJo - Honest.

And my top albums are:

1. Tove Lo - Lady Wood
2. Katy B - Honey
3. Britney Spears - Glory
4. Tinashe - Nightride
5. Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman
