Marina Joyce
The way Dr Luke treats his artists is disgusting, from the body shaming to the releases, I feel bad for Kesha, Sophia Black, Becky G etc... you can wipe your ass with the document and eat it, people who're doing that to their artists are not people, they are fucking pigs! Nope, depends who the artist is, you get paid everytime the song is played you get payed so for example a song written for Beyonce even though the songwriter loses 40-60% to Beyonce , does not keep the masters they earn about a million over the duration of promotion and no risk. Why not just let her release her own shit? Too easy huh? Why not release material trough Sony without Luke involved

Marina Joyce
@Elizabeth what are you trying to achieve? First you said she don't earn money, how the label uses artist, then you say that she should buy herself out of contract

So what you're saying is that because she got paid in advanced, she's not allowed to release anything without Luke cause she still owes him money? Isn't that going against what Sony claimed last year? Then you mention that she earns money for all the songs she's helped write/release no risk, but she's unable to buy her way out of the contract with the money she's made because...? You seem to be caught in a web of lies as big as Luke's ego.

Losing 5% per a song is not earning NO money. Far from it. She earns but not the multimillions of say Beyonce or Katy Perry. Kesha started of wanting to renogotiate a contract end of. All this is , is a contract dispute with one party wanting more money with little grounds to do so this is why Pebe is coninually being sued for defamation as they should be. It is not a fear tactic , it is more like a fact at this point.

I think submiting 28 songs for an album is not "a little ground to do" especially if they are not going to release them..she doesen't seem to want all money cause she did enough good things! She got paid an advance i.e a retainer so cannot work for anyone else unless that is paid back like a lawyer is on retainer to a client. She can work without Dr Luke just he will still get his cut. She has CHOSEN not to buy herself out of the contract , she has not ONCE offered although both Luke and Sony have given a price of about 8 million dollars. Similar to what Joss Stone paid to get out of her contract. She can release music for others and therefore earn money probably more than she earned as an artist due to economies of scale and her being more a songwriter. Quincy & MJ wrote 800 songs for Thriller and ended up choosing 9 songs. For every 100 songs you master about 15 and 10 will be okay.

Britney 17 years ago sold 30 million in 1 album , Britney Jean sold 650k FULLSTOP, this has sold far less with MORE promo in first week sales. It just got a higher position in the charts. Her sales drop is like 4615%. Facts be facts. Oh so you have to sell millions now to have a successful album, I forgot to get that memo. I'm glad you guys see her on the same level as Joss Stone. At least you guys recognize talent even if you're trying to bury it in a grave.

I specifically recall her stating there were under 20.

She may have mastered 20 but written hundreds as have explained before.
