It started in 1984 with members of unforgettable bands like Duran Duran, Heaven 17, Bananarama, Wham!, U2, & The Police sending aid to Ethiopia. It reincarnated in 1989 (which including Kylie Minogue & a bunch of people I've never heard of) then again in 2004 to help the troubled Darfur (including the still relevant artist Natasha Bedingfield, Dido, members of Keane, Joss Stone, Sugar Babes & Robbie Williams) The latest get together - Band Aid 30 - was brought back to help fight the "Ebola crisis". Some of the stars to participate in this edition are Zoella, One Direction, Bono, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Seal & Jessie Ware. She and everyone supporting her should use their common sense and realize that the collective fanbases of all the artists involved in this song would make much more money combined than any money the artists could donate individually. Of course they'll get good publicity and they also already have heaps of money, so they should be donating that as well, but I don't see any problem with doing both. Quote
