I am actually considering getting these damn remasters, even though I have all 8 seasons

Same! I can’t wait to experience the show in full HD ?

It premieres Thursday night on the CW.  I plan on watching at least the first episode to see how it compares to the original.  To be honest, I am not holding out much hope that it will as good as the original Series.  But we will see.

So, I watched the premiere last night, and as a fan of the original Charmed, it was hard to watch. However, if I remove myself from the original series, it wasn't horrific. The previews did nothing for the actresses or their acting abilities, because it worked better within the context of the series. However, it felt rushed, and cheap. Plus, the fact that they've already blown their fucking cover with a civilian is hilarious; the cornerstone of the O.G. series was not to let anyone know you're a witch, and all of a sudden, this dude on campus knows? Yeah. No thanks. Plus.... my issue with this reboot is that they're forcing the sisterhood. On the O.G., it was about sisters who happened to be witches. On this one, it feels like it's witches who just happen to be sisters. Not a good look. I'll give it another try but, so far, I don't see this going past its ordered run! The forced #MeToo/Times Up movement was off for me, too.

Thank you for that assessment of the show.  As I said in my original comment, I do not hold out much hope it will be any good.  Also, thank you for letting me know it debuted last night.  I have the day off, so I will watch it today on On Demand.

I saw the first episode and it sucks. Really bad.
I'm not gonna watch the second episode. What a joke ! :yuck:
The actress are ugly, played badly, the clothes are ugly too. It looks like a show for kids.
I have to say that all is horrible.

You must be a Witch.  Cus you read my thoughts exactly.   Except them being Ugly.  I would not have gone that far.

Also, I do not want to upset the Feminists.  But This first episode was way over the TOP on the FEMINIST Front.  I felt like I should hate myself for being a man after watching this episode.  Way to SJWish for me.  JMHO.

I do think I might watch the next episode just too see if they take this "Men Suck"  theory any further though.  But I am honestly not holding out much hope for this show.  Bummer too.  I enjoyed the original.

They're ugly? Don't throw stones. This reboot is aimed more at young teens than young adults as the original had been.

Yea I agree, they are not ugly at all.  I find all three of the sisters to be quite attractive actually.  I just did not like the first episode.  I hope it gets better.

As far as it being aimed towards young teens.  If I had a young teen, I would not let him or her watch this show.

They are ugly, ugly, ugly !!! A mess.

And poor kids, if they want to watch the show, they can. It's not like if they watch porn at 12 years old. You would make a terrible father. When i saw your posts, sometimes i have the impression to read a old bachelor who live for Jesus.

No they are not ugly.  But so far the show sucks.

And In my house, as a parent, I would get to make the rules as to what my children get to watch on the TV.  Are you saying that 12 year olds don't watch porn.  What world do you live in?  I recently read a story of some middle school kids that were texting nude pics of a young girl around with each other.  She had sent it to her "Boyfreind".  Fortunately A parent who had the smarts and the responsiblity to make sure they know what there kid is doing spotted the pics on her kids phone.  And they had the common sense to call the school and the police.

And that my friend is what a Responsible Parent Does.

#bachelorsforJesus.  :bop::wink::sassy:

P.S.  If you do not like my postings....You don't have to read them.

The fact people are talking about someone's looks is appalling, especially in today's climate. It's disappointing, disgusting and I won't be returning to this thread to see such hatred. It's not constructive at all, and it's disgusting people are still hiding behind their keyboards as if their "words" don't hold water.
