Main Pop Girl
Demi Lovato and her family are in mourning. Her father, Patrick, has just passed away over the weekend after reportedly losing battle against cancer. The "Heart Attack" singer missed out a scheduled photoshoot for "The X Factor (US)" after the sad news broke out. The former Disney star has since kept low profile on Twitter, while her older sister Dallas tweeted, "Rest in peace daddy I love you.." Their mother Dianna De La Garza additionally wrote, "Thank you all for the outpouring of love and prayers. Y'all are amazing!" Demi's parents divorced in 1994. She and her father had a rocky relationship since 2007. Back in 2009, she told New York Daily News, "The last time I talked to him was two years ago. You try to have faith in somebody, even when you're the last person that believes in him." "But when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what else to do," she added. "I had to cut off all connection. It was hurting me too much." In a "very personal" song titled "For the Love of a Daughter" from her 2011 album "Unbroken", the songstress hinted that her father might have had issues with alcohol in the lyrics, "Oh father, please father, put the bottle down..." When Demi was battling her own demons with bipolar disorder, bulimia and self-harming issues in 2010, her father attempted to reach out to her, without success. It's unclear if she had spoken with her dad before he passed away.Sorry for her loss. But is it just me, or does everything this girl does go towards her playing the victim? First there was the whole JoBro thing, then her rehab, and now this. And her music just feeds into it.When is she gonna take control of her own life and stop playing the girl who has bad shit happen to her? I mean I love her, she's my boo and all, but she always seems to have this 'pity me' stance on every fucking thing. I mean, in this case it's different, she couldn't really control her father's death... but I get what you mean though.
trayertrash
And why are Demi fans becoming his biggest fans now? Weren't they all accusing him of molesting her & sending death threats a few years ago?
