Main Pop Girl
Just as Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have wrapped up season four of The Vampire Diaries, its spin-off show The Originals has landed its own series. The Originals, which stars Joseph Morgan as Klaus, has been given a full series by The CW following a successful pilot. The new show, which follows Klaus as he heads back to New Orleans to confront people from his past, got its own backdoor pilot in an episode called The Originals last week."As soon as we saw last night's episode of The Vampire Diaries, we knew we wanted more of The Originals," the CW president Mark Pedowitz said. "Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson have done a fantastic job with The Vampire Diaries, which is as fast-paced and well-written as ever, and Julie has created an equally compelling world for The Originals."The show's star, Morgan, has said that the new show has a different feel to The Vampire Diaries describing it as a "more epic"."Vampire Diaries is kind of a coming of age story, and I think The Originals is definitely more sort of epic," he said. "It's even in the backdoor pilot that you'll see - it's almost like a war is brewing. It's on a grander scale - it's less about prom and more about a war between the vampires and the witches."No idea what this even is but I thought some people here might be interested. Cypher
I heard about this, but I haven't really read into it. I guess it's a cool spin-off, but I'm not sure it's necessary. Guess we'll wait for the first season and see if it's worth watching.
