  1. Oh for sure, I think comparisons will always be there, hopefully by going solo, more people will see her as Jesy, not the "fat one in Little Mix". At least Camila went from "the annoying one in 5H" to "the annoying one". lmfao
  2. She mentioned the biggest thing about being in a girl group is constantly being compared to the other girls. I do think being solo, you might be compared here and there, but it wouldn't be the immediately judgement. (e.g. people calling her the "fat one" of the group, like how Leigh-Anne is the "black one" of the group)
  3. You know, the first time she ever alluded to sexual assault, my mind immediately went to Rob, but a few things deterred that thought. If it truly was Rob, I would imagine Gaga wouldn't want him profiting off of her, so I would expect her to scrap all those songs and just release the material she did with Red, KNS, Fernando, etc. #2 Rob filed a lawsuit against Gaga I think just before or around the BTW era (if I remember correctly) claiming that he was underpaid for his work on the songs from The Fame. I would imagine this is a risky move considering she could counter-sue and bring a lot of negative attention to him, the same way Kesha did with Dr. Luke, albeit, a couple years before Kesha v. Dr. Luke. Lastly, Fusari was the one that posted songs like Glitter & Grease and Real Cool. He has publishing rights to those songs, so legally, he's not in any hot water; but I'm assuming he wouldn't be in any real position to try and light a fire if he was guilty of rape. It was already public news by the time he posted those songs that Gaga didn't want her old material being posted online, like the time she paid a huge amount on an auction to buy back her old demos tapes. Aside from claiming the 2 of them dated, I don't really see Fusari as a "suspect" tbh. I just see a man who created some killer songs and wanted to get compensated for his work. As for the '09 photo, I could totally see that as a staged thing. Maybe Joe contacted her, saw her at an event, etc?
  4. In her segment of the show, The Me You Can't See, Lady Gaga revealed she was raped and left pregnant when she was 19. This would've placed the year to be around 2005, which as long term fans know, was when she was working on the project, the SG Band. This would also be right before her work with Rob Fusari in 2006, who is arguably a key player in shaping her image seen on The Fame. So the question remains, who was the producer that Gaga refused to mention? Looking at the credits for her music during 2005, one name comes up multiple times. Joe Vulpis. The pair apparently first met in 2003 but worked more closely throughout 2005, even landing her a gig with Grandmaster Melle Mel. Gaga mentioned the man threatened to burn all her music, alluding to a point that the pair had created a collection of material, not just one or two songs. Do you think Mr. Vulpis could be the culprit of this heinous act?
  5. Yeah! It was so sad to read that "Sweet Melody" was what broke her, considering it's their biggest single on the charts. Hopefully without having the constant comparison to the other girls, she'll have a thriving solo career.
  6. To this day, I still can't stand her.
  7. ngl, as much as I'd love to see her succeed, I have a hard time seeing her reaching even Bebe or Rita's levels. Both of them have a certain uniqueness about them that I'm not fully confident Jesy can tap into. But then again, look at Camila. She managed to make it work with all her celebrity connections, so maybe Jesy has a chance? Perhaps tapping into more R&B/Hip Hop will be her route.
  8. Congrats to Jesy! I hope being part of the Interscope family treats her well.
  9. Demi Lovato - Demi is restocked at UO!
  10. I hope this marriage lasts! Looking at Ariana's history of relationships, she deserves some normalcy.
  11. I haven't really played video games consistently in a few years, but I guess the latest game I played was poker. I do enjoy a good card game!
  12. I gotta agree, not sure if we're ready for shows like this, but honestly, those are all great picks! I would be down for all 4 of them.
  13. I think it's great you had a group you love; we all have our favourites and we all get carried away time to time. But as with everyone, let's help each other get/stay on the same page to keep this place a positive experience. (not talking about the world of trading/selling. That shit can't be helped)
  14. tbh, I'm surprised she even had another season after the constant hate she endured. It could've been so easy to hide from the world, but she still continued for another season. I love Ellen and she might not be the perfect image that everyone thinks of her, but nobody is. She didn't deserve all the hate she got. To me, it's pretty clear she really tried to right the wrongs and I hope whatever she does next is just for her. If she chooses to retire, then I hope she retires for her, not because the haters got to her.
  15. Tbh, I don't have a major issue since aside from annoyance, there's no hostile behaviour.
  16. I guess that's true! I think I went into season 3 already kinda half-hearted so I probably ruined it more for myself. I def agree that season 2 was just way too out there for me though.
  17. tbh, each season has been diminishing returns for me. I wouldn't be surprised if season 4 was the last season. I'll still watch it though since I'm already this far invested!
  18. I'm lowkey annoyed at UO. They keep pumping out these discographies of our favourite flops and I keep spending money. If they had decent stock, I wouldn't be as inclined to rush into picking these up, but they keep selling out with super rare restocks. I was going through my collection of UO albums and this is what I'm working with: I'm on a quest to find a reasonably priced Demi Lovato - Demi and Britney Spears - Circus. The resell market of some vinyl records is ridiculous.
  19. An entrepreneur in the making!
  20. She better give us S.L.A.Y. - I swear
  21. Rina announced a special gold vinyl for the deluxe edition of SAWAYAMA! I pre-ordered it yesterday, can't wait! I also caved and ordered a few other things: Billie's new album from Walmart that has a special sandy light brown/dirty gold pressing. Selena's Rare, double LP from her website Chromatica picture LP Kylie Minogue - Real Groove green vinyl has been delayed And now I'm debating if I should pick up Olivia Rodrigo's Target vinyl. I quite like the look, but not sure how I'm honestly feeling about an entire album of her sad bitch hour songs. I love me a sad bitch anthem, but a whole album might be a little much.
  22. Watch this end up going unreleased, yet again. Another broken promise.
  23. omg what a mess. So I'm back to cringing at the lip sync?!
  24. @idrk I'm gonna need you to do this for all of my top artists. ? This is amazing!
  25. Rihanna - Russian Roulette (Unmixed)
