I hope she doesn't retire. Even though I would consider this new album subpar, I still enjoy her music. There are definitely still quite a few I do rather enjoy. If she does retire, Sky Ferreira better step up her game. Those are some pretty big heels to fill.

Hah, that was something shocking I found out when I moved to the States. I was like, we have a day dedicated to giving thanks? Then I went to elementary school and learned all about it...and got bored. I'm surprised it's growing in Australia. Do you also observe Cyber Monday? So I live in the US and Black Friday is this huge celebration that comes right after Thanksgiving...or rather, it should come after Thanksgiving, but some stores open early. Anywho, it's a day where stores offer these "amazing" deals and discounts and people shop. In my opinion, it's just something the government schemed up to help give the economy a boost cause Christmas/holiday season apparently isn't cutting it anymore. I'm curious if this is observed in other country/regions.

I've noticed that! People keep twisting everything in "Gaga's desperate!" I'm rather sick of seeing that. People can't just see it at face value, they have to turn it in a way that's degrading.

People should just see it as an achievement. Gaga was able to put out an album she really liked and that should be enough. Katy got to release a beautiful album, Britney got to put out what she calls "the most personal album", and Miley got to release an album that matches the hot mess she is. Everyone has matured...or at least found a new direction to experiment with. I think 2013 is actually a good year in music, even if people complain about these albums sucking. I think they're all pretty good quality and I'm gonna buy each one.
