something I've always thought about bonnie is that personally since going independent she's never had the "mentality" so to say of being independent. whenever she talks about music or releasing she always says things along the lines of "oh its so up in the air being an independent artist, you never know when things will come out or when to release things" and I've always seen her working around music to be so record label friendly. I think she's just honestly too used to the real industry and the contracts and the game plans and the big production of it all to ever let that go. her being independent and truly not having that environment of a big label and still believing in that so much is the reason she is so behind when its coming to any new material in years.

figured I would share a really good remix of American Girl that's been sitting on my old Mac for years. this really under the radar producer by the name of Cages released this back in 2013 but deleted all his stuff in 2014 and disappeared forever. most of his stuff is lost but I saved a few things. I remember bonnie at some point heard this remix and tweeted at him asking him how he got the stem for the whistle note but I remember he said he filtered it lol https://dbree.org/v/97f16

I think it will just forever frustrate me that bonnie literally has every song from the epic album , stems masters and all, and just lets them rot on her computer after literally fighting to obtain them legally. and this is proven by when I saw her live in Chicago in august of 2015, she didn't have that band with her. it was entirely back track and it was full official studio version of forever 21 in all its glory. she has the damn songs and doesn't want them to ever see the light of day and for what? https://dbree.org/v/cc2183 here is the clip I have of that performance, this is probably the best recording we have of the track at the moment and one of the only ones that wasn't performed with her band.
