Rather than a scrapped tracklist, this is the tracklist for an album sampler of Lana Del Rey's Born to Die that was sent to The Guardian in May 2011, before the era started. I'm assuming songs here included demos or unmastered versions of the songs that eventually made the cut for the album (in bold). National Anthem Born to Die Live or Die Hey Lolita Hey Million Dollar Man Video Games Paris Marilyn Monroe (Puppy Love) Driving in Cars with Boys This Is What Makes Us Girls Hundred Dollar Bill Are You Ready (Ooooh Baby) Diet Mountain Dew You Can Be the Boss Kinda Outta Luck! Carmen Put the Radio On Blue Jeans By the looks (and also assuming these were mostly demos from the released songs), the album was way more pop-oriented than the result. Fun fact: she posted to a now defunct SoundCloud the songs I put in italics, plus "Velvet Crowbar", "On Our Way" and "Us Against the World", which were omitted from the album sampler.

No it wasn't from Epic. The song was released in 2009, by Lester Lewis featuring Bonnie McKee. I sort of recall reading the song was originally for Bonnie herself but then it was given to Lester who featured Bonnie in the song.

Ugh, such a shame to hear that! If you were able to delete your profile and block their number, it's likely it will stop there (hopefully). Hope you're safe and may they stay away from you!

Iggy Azalea - The End of an Era (2021) Sirens Brazil Pillow Fight Emo Club Anthem STFU I Am the Stripclub N.Y.E. (feat. Alice Chater) Woke Up (Diamonds) Is That Right (feat. BIA) XXXTRA Peach Body Sex on the Beach (feat. Sophia Scott) Good Times with Bad People Day 3 in Miami (End of an Era) [feat. Ellise] The only change is track 7, "N.Y.E.", which was changed for "Nights Like This" at the last minute and "N.Y.E." was relegated as a bonus track. This tracklist comes from the "Is That Right" producer Young Forever Beats, who posted it on his Instagram shortly before Iggy shared the final tracklist with track 7 updated. imo "Sip It" and "Posh Spice" deserved a spot in Standard instead of "Sex on the Beach", but hey at least they're on the deluxe lol.

UGHHH SUCH A VIBE! Whenever she decides to release it, SOTY automatically. It's so good, I dare saying it's her best yet.

Thank you so much guys omg, this made my day love you so much congratulations to everyone else who won!! Happy New Year everybody! May this 2023 be a better year than the last one, and may it be full of success and good news for y'all. Cheers!

Sorry for interrupting but iirc there are actual demos for those songs, their existence is pretty much confirmed - very likely with those titles instead of the current ones. My doubt regarding them is if they are just demos from the songs, or rather very different early versions with different lyrics and stuff (see: National Anthem final and I Want It All demo versions, with completely different chorus).

thanks for sharing this to the forum! yeah i haven't done the B sides as I've been busy with my own music and stuff but will get to it. i also wanna try and remaster a couple outtakes that need a little retouch so i can add them.
-
Ha, I don't know if I was aware about the last time this occurred but how interesting! Hoping to get something
-
Hi! I think you did a good job, the artwork looks cool! only a little detail - maybe for a more organised way to share your own artwork, I'd suggest you to create your own thread so you can share everything you want with us, and we can find all of your artworks in a single thread! Welcome to the forum

Update on Carly Rae Jepsen - Disco Sweat (2016-17) Disco Sweat Ricochet / Boomerang Hungry Heart No You ? Julien Tenderly So far we only know these 6 songs, Julien being an early demo which hasn't leaked except for a snippet - iirc it's different from the demo that has leaked so far. Hopefully we get more info on this soon. It's likely we get the number of tracks on the draft tracklist soon.
-
On Future Nostalgia - a lot may have been bonus tracks, I'm guessing 11-12 were standard. I'm craving for Disco Sweat, hopefully it surfaces in full soon!
-
session? um... i know it was meant for the album and it was even remixed for Club Future Nostalgia, but i have no idea on why it wasn't included in the Moonlight edition (or in the main album, most precisely)
-
yup, totally. DS wasn't even finished, most songs are very rough but there is like a bunch of them.
-
On another note, apparently one of the scrapped albums by Carly Rae Jepsen, Disco Sweat (2016-ish), is slowly appearing. While a full tracklist would have yet to be revealed, I've gathered this from another forum: Ricochet / Boomerang is track 2. Hungry Heart is track 3. (It was eventually reworked into Disco Darling, presumably intended for Dedicated) Tenderly is track 7. We also have Disco Sweat, I Am the Keeper (which is a very rough recording only, very evidently unfinished) and No You from those sessions. They say it's just a collection of very rough demos but title track is really good, I'd love to hear the rest tbh.

tbh this draft seems so... random. like, Not My Problem and other outtakes seem so randomly thrown into it, and Break My Heart as a bonus track? (i don't think the album would be 19 songs long in standard form lol) and also there's like zero cohesion... now i see why it got reworked. while it was shortened into 11 songs, i think it was the right choice. i would've chosen the 10-12 best outtakes and made a full side b instead of the moonlight edition but i kinda like Pretty Please but Love Is Religion, That Kind of Woman and like 4 or 5 more outtakes are def better lol.

iirc the songs planned for Dollhouse were: Dollhouse Mistakes Cry Baby Psycho Lovers Carousel You Love I Dead to Me Night Mime A Thousand Words Bittersweet Tragedy i arranged the tracklist (it's not a draft) but those songs she mentioned in a post when referring to the album. let me find the screenshot. here: although she said 'and many more'. it's likely she was just listing what she had done by then, not precisely a list of the songs to be included in the album but who knows. this type of information (or lack of it) sometimes keeps me up late at night and i hate it lol.
-
i haven't found scrapped tracklists or drafts of it, but we know the album was titled Animal Crackers, Toy Chest and Coloring Book at different stages. Dollhouse, before being shortened into an EP, was also an album iirc, although i'm not sure if it was an early version of the Cry Baby project. likely though. it was all produced between 2013 and 2015 and there were so many changes that it's hard to keep track.
-
It was considered for the album but i don't think it was ever included in a draft. like, she reworked it for the album but who knows if she actually gave it a spot in a draft of the record. let's not forget Yes to Heaven has been reworked for every album after Ultraviolence except for NFR and Did You Know There's a Tunnel iirc. All Honeymoon, Lust for Life (ish, because it was also meant for the 2017 collaborative album between Lana and Last Shadow Puppets), Chemtrails and Blue Banisters saw a version of YTH. Poor song, it should at least be released as a standalone single (preferrably with Fine China as a-side or b-side).
-
the demos for Music To Watch Boys To and Salvatore, respectively. I guess they were just working titles for the songs, but I wonder how different was the early tracklist for the album, if any.
-
with her there's no other way even she has gone back into hiding so
-
Thanks! tbh I only have listened to Rainbow (which I like as a whole) and very recently added High Road to my library. But have yet to listen to her early stuff as well. Besides Tik Tok, Cannibal and Your Love Is My Drug I don't think I've listened to much of her pre-Rainbow material.
