I don't know much about them but it seems like an odd time to leave. They seemed to have a little more success with this album so you think they would have stuck it out longer. Hopefully the other girls will proceed on. I do feel for their fans though because I remember how devastated I was when Geri left. I feel like it is always a double edged sword being in a group because it seems inevitable that a member will eventually jump ship. Thank god Girls Aloud made it as long as they did.

Which is surprising considering her career as a songwriter. You think she would have faired better with a major label. Or I guess that could have been her downfall. Maybe they were expecting too much from her sales wise.

I was just about to post this. I'm glad they picked it up and didn't leave it as a one season show. I'm also excited to see what they do with the next season. Things kind of went batshit crazy at the end so it should be interesting.

Lmao, I have always said that. It must be a Kentucky thing.
-
I was surprised with how well they voices sound together. Maybe they should form a duo.

I was pleasantly surprised by the new season. I had watched a few of the episodes from seasons one and two but nothing really stook. Season three though, that was a different story. Every episode is stellar. I'm glad Netflix revamped it a little. I think it would have been slightly better if San Junipero was the last episode of season though. It really had everything but that is just me nitpicking.

I watched around 6 or 7 seasons of The Big Bang Theory when I had nothing else it watch, thinking I may like it. The show was alright but as the seasons progressed it was like the actors were there just for the money and that was it. Also, it seemed like the more popular it got, the worse it became. I have never understood the television audience though. The shit they pick to watch over shows that are actual quality blows my mind.

I wish she would start recording things again rather than just write for other artists. She has too much talent to only be songwriting. I think I would die a happy man if I could hear solo versions of their Girls Aloud album's that just have Nicola and Nadine. I like Kim, Sarah, and Cheryl's voices but Nadine and Nicola were the standouts for me.

Of all the things I am watching I definitely would rate this in the top 3. It is really something else. I am not usually a fan of musicals. However, this show makes you want them rather than feeling like oh God not another one.

Mhmm but they still managed to move it to Fridays of all nights. I'm hoping that might be the shows saving grace. No show really does well on Fridays.
-
That's what I was thinking. Also because it does extremely well with the critics.

Right! It continues to amaze me by how fantastic it is. I wish the ratings were better though. I really don't want them to cancel it.

I didn't see a topic about the CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend so I thought I would create one. Does anyone watch it? I watched the first season on Netflix during the Summer and became obsessed. It is completely amazing. It reminds me of how campy Ugly Betty was which is also amazing. One main difference though is there are around two comical musical numbers during each episode. I posted the link to one of the videos below.

Here are my seven albums of 2016. I would have put Carly with Side B but it was only an EP. If only she would have threw a few more tracks on it. Also, I'm hoping next year we get new albums from Kylie, Say Lou Lou, Goldfrapp, Will Young, Christina Aguilera, Sugababes, Sky Ferreira, Alexz Johnson, and finally Florrie. 1. Sophie Ellis-Bextor: Familia 2. Foxes: All I Need 3. Petite Meller: Lil Empire 4. Ladyhawke: Wild Things 5. Dragonette: Royal Blues 6. Coco Morier: Dreamer 7. Gwen: This Is What The Truth Feels Like

That is true! I think that was one of the best things about her solo era. Well that and Say It Out Loud. I wish she would have worked with Xenomania on a few tracks for her album as well. Could you imagine if she released a solo version of Call The Shots and/ or The Loving Kind?

I watched a few of them after the series but I like the show much better. She is super hilarious but I think that character works more in a television setting rather than just a YouTube character. From the articles I have seen, her character was one of the first that has been adapted from YouTube into a series. That was pretty cool and the show turned out good as well. She seems incredibly smart and hopefully she will run with it.

My partner and I watched the Green Room last month. It was really good and suspenseful. Just a heads up though, the first 10/ 15 minutes are kind of questionable but after that it gets really good. Oh and The Final Girls is really good. It's more of a Horror/ Comedy but still good nonetheless. There is also an epic scene that involves Betty Davis Eyes.

I don't know what she was thinking leaving a Richard X/ Hannah Robinson song off her album. They both do amazing work with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Annie, and Rachel Stevens just to name a few. Silly girl, the least she could have done was release it as a bonus track or B-Side.

Great job on the article. After hearing Baby Love I fell in love with her. She released stellar single after single. I think my favorite is Milk Bath. I do wish the middle eight choir was about 10 seconds longer though. I hope she continues releasing music. However, next time maybe only released one or two singles and then the album.

American Horror Story - Season 6 (Sept. 14)
LightFantastic replied to RadiantEdits's topic in Lounge Room
I think Ryan Murphy has great ideas but he is not consistent at all. This goes for all his shows. I feel like the has the attention span of a child and his shit goes off the rails real quick. I noticed this a lot with American Horror Story. Each season starts out strong but by the middle and end it is a mess. It was really bad with Nip/Tuck as well. -
I was the same way. However, I bought the whole series and movie collection a few weeks ago and it gets way better. After initially not liking any characters, I grew to love them by the end. Especially Lauren Weedman who plays Doris. She plays a bigger part in season 2 and is a hoot. As far as being renewed I hope 2 Broke Girls, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, The Middle, The Real O'Neal's, Last Man On Earth, Fresh Off The Boat, The Goldberg's, Brooklyn 99, Elementary, Superstore, The Good Place, iZombie, and Jane the Virgin all get renewed. I will definitely be white knuckling it in March during renewal season. So many great shows but from what I have seen ratings are down for many shows. While those shows struggle, The Big Bang, Empire, Grey's Anatomy, and This Is Us are all beasts. To bad I don't really care for them.

I'm still listening to Dragonette's new album, Royal Blues. I think it may be their best one yet. The title track and Detonate are fantastic.

I had never heard of her Miranda character before but this show was surprisingly good. I expected it to be more of a comedy but I think it was more of a drama. It had funny moments but that ending was quite dramatic. Even though she is a terrible person, you really feel bad for her at the end.

San Junipero definitely hits you right in the feels. It was such a beautiful piece of (streaming) television. It was like an emotional roller coaster. I really wanted them to turn it into a full length film after finishing it but then I realized it was perfect the way it was. Not only that but the soundtrack included Kylie and Belinda so it was pretty much perfect.

I think this has been tried numerous times throughout the years. It's a nice idea but I think Stephen Stohn has that shit under lock and key. I feel like he gets some type of joy by not releasing them.
