The Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz album will probably be looked upon as one of the weirdest, most experimental projects a mainstream pop act has ever recorded. The album in it's entirety was uploaded on Soundcloud in 2015 and left the world "shooketh" with its extraordinary, psychedelic sound and audacious visuals. Part of the shock value of the album came from the fact that it was a surprise release. Miley had been talking about releasing a new album for a while, but her Smilers were shocked when she released the tracks to stream for free on Soundcloud right after her VMA's hosting gig. Her record label RCA wasn't convinced that she should release such a controversial and unprofitable project, but Miley insisted that if they didn't let her do it, she would buy herself out of her contract to do so on her own terms. Now Smilers are once again surprised, for after two years of torment listening to disgusting SoundCloud rips on repeat, Dead Petz is finally available to stream on major services like Apple Music and Spotify, as well as up for purchase on iTunes. Even though the majority of fans prefer Miley's mainstream pop tunes like 'We Can't Stop', there is a huge group of Smilers who can appreciate the real beauty of this album. In just two years, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz has developed a reputation as a bold and dedicated departure from the traditional pop fare. I feel so old rn. Nelly Furtado's SAY IT RIGHT used to b my jam. Now when I listen to it, I can only think of the poor production. I was always annoyed with "Smack That". It was everywhere and I was so fucking fed up with this song that it gets on my nerves tot his day. Irreplaceable.... B'day was such a good Beyonce era when it comes to music. This song is flawless Never been much of a fan of Gwen, but I remember jamming to MSE. (But then again... Akon used to be everywhere). Akon is like the Lil Yachty of 00s Fergie's "Fergalicious" and "London Bridge" were better than Glamorous. 06/07 were such good years for her tho. Now she's dead. Good Girl Gone Bad was such a good album Yasss! Kelly Clarkson's NEVER AGAIN! This has to be my fave song by her. I don't like the album it was on, but the song is just perfect. I used to have Crank That as my phone ringtone I hate Sean Kingston. The Way I Are - I remember the times of Timbaland. He was everywhere. Apologize, Say It Right, If We Ever Meet Again, We Belong To The Music.... such bops. Where is he?!?! Nelly Furtado should hit him up asap. HSM! Damn... I am fangirling. I used to stan so hard xd I was such a Disney kid (still am and I own it) Gimme More! Even though I prefer Circus to Blackout, this is an undeniable iconic banger. Wonder if she still can top it. "Low" used to be my phone ringtone as well xd Bleeding Love... Leona was relevant back then. Better In Time, Forgive Me. Then she released a few not successful albums which were all mediocre. Too bad for her. Hope she can revive her career one day, tho time flies. -
