  1. not to erase this interesting discussion, but just use the HQ demo! i much prefer the key/melody of that version and it doesn't have the glitch. They really botched the final.
  2. i am also confused about this because her own description of the next album was dark, singer songwritey, maybe even experimental? but an album with Thorns, Die Happy and Mad Mad World is not that dark or singer-songwriter style, it's fairly normal pop to me- and also VERY old at this point. so my current theory is: -Thorns era dark album -Thorns era revised album (second tracklist), still dark -covid era and afterwards new dark album, the one that she has mentioned in interviews. I haven't heard anything from her that specifically ties the next album to Thorns or those older songs.
  3. this interview was recorded many months ago based on what they say but yes. given that the episode was released now, i presume it means that the deluxe is still in the pipeline. she's been very quiet this year.
  4. pop emergency
  5. Hallelujah was supposedly a Rihanna pitch so the title didn’t matter. But when Bonnie decided to keep it, I assume she changed the title because of her Hallelujah cover.
  6. this has to be one of the longest drawn out eras ever. we're heading towards 3 years since Slay and the deluxe hasn't been announced yet, i still think it's probably coming. 13 years if you count American Girl
  7. yes she’s doing well, she posts on instagram all the time. she has featured on 2 songs since then, has performed various times and is still attending events regularly.
  8. Bonnie McKee - untitled, edited file
  9. that's what i thought, then i realized Bonnie's leak actually has her on the verses. the hook is identical tho. so i guess Bonnie wrote on this track but they didn't use it.
  10. so this untitled Bonnie leak is actually a Dev song? i just found this out, i swear nobody mentioned this when the song leaked. i always thought it sounded like Dev's style.

    Fix the Era

i think it's mostly true since one of the tracks for example had a Chris Brown feature, i doubt that was just for a little non-promoted EP we know that she re-wrote Tie A Cherry and HWA from english to korean, probably did the same for that song above, i suspect the Anne-Marie demo No Lover Like Me is an old english song she had lying around from the original album. CL was never signed to a label so everything is essentially from the same sessions, i think they would be mostly self funded.
  12. well, i'm guessing no deluxe this week sadly maybe it was pushed back to coincide with the next tour dates
  13. i guess it could also be Kiesza on Electric Heaven? feels more realistic than Bebe imo, but I'd love if it was Bebe
  14. i thought of you straight away. not that being the first track mentioned also how could she use it in a short film if she doesn't own the song?? she probably did it without their permission lol
  15. copy pasted from atrl: Bonnie did a little live on her Substack and confirmed all of this: These are the confirmed tracks on Hot City Deluxe: Wild Card (originally written for Britney, it was the hardest song to get clearance for... with the label and stuff, might get a feature she is still debating) Somebody's gonna Get Hurt (also a bit of a headache to get the approval for release since it was payed in full by Epic, but she did it) Dashboard Outlaw Last Call Lover (it was discussed it might be too good to be in the deluxe?? so it might be released as a stand alone single, but she promises it's going to be released either way) Rewind Your Heart (with a feature, she did not say who) She's going to be uploading a link for her short film «April Kills the Vibe» in her Substack (if any of you want to support her ) She showed some Hot City merch that is coming to her shop (actually VERY cute! the best graphics tees i've seen from her) The music video for Forever 21 was accepted into the Tribeca Film Festival, she'll be in New York next week. If any of you are there, she said she'll happily sign stuff and meet you She said that going through the vault again for the deluxe was a pain but she's happy it is done and that she can move on from this songs. THANK GOD in my opinion because I can't wait for her to actually release new music (that we don't have demos of). In summary I was super impressed by her work ethic in getting this done and her commitment to the fans that wanted these tracks (I'm pretty sure that if it was up to her she would have moved on already). I also feel she feels to much what people say about the tracks and the changes made to the demos, it was always a battle in her mind if she should make changes to the tracks or not but doesn't want fans to be upset . I kinda wanted to give her a hug at the end (I wish she would just release what she likes and trust her artistic vision without worrying about fans reaction... edit: the remix is Electric Heaven, NOT RYH
