Steps are re-issuing their first three albums. As they were originally released during the CD era, this will be the first time they have been issued on vinyl and their are separate permutations/ colour combinations for each album: Facebook announcement Main store Regional store selector Available permutations: Some variants are already sold out, so if you were previously unaware of these vinyls and are interested you may want to pre-order soon.- 59 replies

That’s a traditional strategy, yes. Separately from this we know “Single Soon” is a reject from 2017, which is a clue the creation of this album may have been a struggle.

The random unexpected power of vinyl in 2023 -
BMG appear to place a lot of emphasis on artists covering their own promotional and marketing costs up front. However their executives are sharp, know the music industry inside out and have a unique talent for creating and leveraging previously unseen opportunities to the benefit of those artists signed to them. In some cases, they have even revitalised the careers of certain artists and made them relevant again. So long as you don’t mind kissing goodbye to plastic jewel cases in favour of cardboard digi-pack’s (if you care at all for the CD format).

Some might, probably adding “Skirt”, “Golden Boy” and “Sparks” but I personally just take that album as a beige MOR body of work un-to Itself. Which translates as I can let it wash over me from start to finish and enjoy it, but I never want to take anything from it for compilations. I just accept Roc Nation never really ‘got’ her or her sound. Or rather, they wanted their people getting writers royalties from it as they knew it would be a marginal hit based on her post 2000’s output in the U.S. The best thing I enjoy from that whole era is one single remix (which was not even official) and sounds like it is from 1988: -
They’re back .. for a Tour, no new music. What a letdown:

I’ve nothing against her (I do wish her more recent material was better). It wouldn’t put me off her if she were a coke head tbh. It’s a whole lot more interesting than whose dick she’s bouncing off on any given month. She needs a Britney head shave or a Madonna ‘Sex’ book moment. This whole ‘America’s Sweetheart’ thing has become cloying. Her most recent hair do, does kind of scream ‘junkie’ to me, plus I think it’s insane that she instructs all stylist’s never to select anything for her that the south could perceive as ‘slutty’. As a pop star, sooner or later (in her case later) she has a moral obligation to become messy, if this is the beginning of that for her then consider me perched. In the above picture you can clearly see the iris’s of her eyes which is a sure sign she hadn’t yet powdered her nose at that point.

Wasn’t there something a while back about a radio DJ who patted her on the ass and she claimed sexual assault? I don’t think she’s the type to let things go. This suggests to me that if there was nothing in it, she would be threatening to sue the individual on Twitter who started the rumor. Instead all we are getting from her camp is radio silence/ tumbleweeds. Apparently, if someone denies allegations about cocaine use, the other party can ask for the alleged user’s hair to be tested in a laboratory as chemical traces of that specific drug migrate to the hair roots of the user and become tattooed in to the hair follicles. If she has taken it, the result of the tests could potentially further incriminate her. She and her advisers would know this and I suspect this is potentially why she is remaining silent on this issue. Also, most concerts are 90 minutes to 2 hours in duration and performed in context of tours shorter than hers. She’s a 33 year old woman (long past the hyperactivity of a teenager), when you consider each of her concert dates are in excess of three whole hours in duration and she’s constantly dancing and moving throughout and she has more tour dates to get through than most, it does appear she has superhuman levels of stamina and energy, which does potentially suggest something not entirely natural is going on with her.

TBH, I wondered how she has so much energy to consistently do three hour shows:

“Body Language” 20th Anniversary ‘Red Blooded’ Vinyl * Available to pre-order now * First time on vinyl * Released February 23rd 2024 -
Well technically it was late Sunday they leaked I suppose depending on region, but it’s no biggie.
-
Some have had them since April (weeks after the development point Monday’s work in progress tracks go up to), it’s my understanding that batch of development tracks only leaked after later stage tracks (superseding Monday’s WIP tracks), with more fleshed out vocals were attained by select traders, thus replacing those early WIP tracks in terms of desirability/ value.
-
Some people also have these: 1. All Day 2. Peace Love 3. Dumb 4. Bounceback They are apparently more complete. I originally assumed someone was trying to pass off a Stacie Orrico/ Louise Nurding AI as a brand new Sugababes track, so I questioned the authenticity of the above list. However “Poetry In Motion” was also on the original list and that was proven to exist yesterday.

On second thoughts, these are too hot. Someone else can link them.
