  1. As there is no stand alone Kylie (or Dannii) Minogue thread independent of specific album eras, I felt we should have one where every aspect of both Kylie and Dannii’s career can be discussed from ANY time period: past, present and future. Highlights from Kylie albums one thru four: [Debut Album Era - “Kylie”]: ”I Should Be So Lucky”: ”Got To Be Certain”: “The Loco-Motion”: [Sophomore Album Era - “Enjoy Yourself”]: ”Hand On Your Heart”: “Wouldn’t Change A Thing”: “Never Too Late”: [Third Album Era - “Rhythm Of Love”]: ”Better The Devil You Know”: “Step Back In Time”: “Shocked”: [4th Album Era - “Let’s Get To It”]: ”Word Is Out”: “If You We’re With Me Now” (Duet with Keith Washington): “Give Me Just A Little More Time”: [Lead Single From Her First Official “Greatest Hits” Collection]: “What Kind Of Fool (Heard All That Before)”: My Personal Favorite ⬇️: Below is my all time personal favourite Kylie single (the third single from her third album), where the stars aligned and everything about its release was utter perfection: ”What Do I Have To Do?”: These are the definitive versions of her first four album releases as they contain absolutely everything (from each respective album era): 01) ”Kylie”: https://www.discogs.com/release/6651409-Kylie-Minogue-Kylie 02) ”Enjoy Yourself”: https://www.discogs.com/release/6623173-Kylie-Minogue-Enjoy-Yourself 03) ”Rhythm of Love”: https://www.discogs.com/release/6651464-Kylie-Rhythm-Of-Love 04) ”Let’s Get To It”: https://www.discogs.com/release/6651514-Kylie-Minogue-Lets-Get-To-It .. When she came back with her fifth album she switched her production team and record label (essentially beginning again from scratch). This was the worlds introduction to the reinvented Kylie: She then went on to explore Indie music (to the sheer horror of the gays) who outside her home country, almost died when she served them this: When she then went on to continue down the same path (on her sixth album “Impossible Princess”), with this production by Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers, the gays finally revolted and (temporarily) abandoned her for Steps: Nevertheless, she continued to listen to her inner muse and follow her own creative path: After two albums, she and her second record label (Deconstruction), mutually decided to have a parting of ways and after deciding that making money again might be a good idea, she then signed with Parlophone and re-embraced her ‘Pop’ origins on this abandoned Paula Abdul comeback track and it’s parent album (Kylie’s seventh), titled “Light Years”: The gays were suddenly back on board and so was the world (outside America): That wasn’t to last long though when she launched her eighth album with this Cathy Dennis penned S Club 7 and Sophie Ellis-Bextor reject track: However, Kylie then made a strategic error when she decided to take her ninth album in an R&B direction and decided not to use a little demo titled “Toxic” presented to her people by Cathy Dennis as it did not sonically fit the genre profile of what her management advised her was needed for the U.S. market. Instead the demo was presented to another singer you’ve probably heard of and Kylie went with this track that fitted the mood she was going for instead: The parent album “Body Language” did not find the love from the U.S. market it was intended to. Kylie then moved on to a retrospective compilation (“Ultimate Kylie”), which contained these two singles (the first being co-written by Jake Shears, formerly from Scissor Sisters) and the second written by Xenomania (better known for producing some of Girls Aloud and Sugababes finest work). That compilation has since been usurped with another more up to date compilation “Step Back In Time”. Shortly after releasing the above two singles from her 2004 retrospective, Kylie was diagnosed with and took time out to recover from cancer. Since her recovery, Kylie went on to release six further studio albums, single highlights include the following: I will introduce Dannii at a later point in the thread. However (and following) Kylie’s recent successful Sydney “World Pride” appearance: Current whispers are circulating, suggesting that Kylie and Katy Perry have worked together on a track. Before this rumour it was already known that Katy is working on a dance album. Both artists are presently between album cycles and it is as yet unknown if (upon launching), the currently under wraps track will be on one of their albums (or both). They have also each (separately) worked with Greg Kurstin in the past. I can’t quite hear how their respective voices would blend together on a track and always assumed that Kylie and Madonna working together was a more fated collaboration that would occur first. What are your thoughts? Is a collab between Kylie + Katy the duet you never knew you needed or does the very idea leave you cold?
  2. I totally sympathize. Thank you for making me aware of this issue. Power to you.
  3. It would be much appreciated If a certain person could share the remastered MKS tracks. In light of ALL the music you have taken and hoarded on a hard drive from PHF over the past few years, It’s surely only fair to give back to the community that has given you so much?
  4. Who could ever have predicted that together, Disney Corp and Crystal Meth would produce such an amazing and timeless icon of stage and screen. Where is her first Oscar already? She should totally have been nominated for the nuanced, understated and captivating performance she brought to the screen in “Princess Protection Program”.

  6. Hello sad, depressed alt. gays (and those who accidentally clicked on a thread that is not Meghan Trainor), PHF now has an all encompassing thread for your OTHER Queen (who is not Lana) the Norwegian one, Susanne: White Foxes: Accelerate: Fade Away: Röyksopp - Never Ever (feat. Susanne Sundfør): Kleerup feat. Susanne Sundfør: Let me In: Delirious: Röyksopp - Running To The Sea (feat. Suzanne Sundfør) Among Us: Röyksopp: Oh, Lover (feat Susanne Sundfør): Kamikazee (Live): ————————————————————————— New album “Blòmi” (Bloom) released April 28th, 2023: https://susannesundfor.com https://susannesundfor.lnk.to/blomi This is preceded by first single “Alyosha/ Leikara Ljóo”, which is out now:
  7. Can someone please restore the 10 pitch demos to bring the total back up to the full original 49 tracks ? .. Preferably not the purist stan who ditched them.
  8. Tennis are not a new band, I’ve been following this husband and wife duo since 2010 and they definitely have enough of a fan base to keep them in business. Something feels a bit different about this release though (from their upcoming album, “Pollen”. People I know who were previously unaware they existed have suddenly discovered them through this track. I hope it helps them breakthrough on a wider scale:
  9. I’m warming to this tech. There are a few artists whom I think don’t sing as good as they once did and I’d be curious to hear them sing their newer material with their youthful voices. I will wait until the AI is cheaper.
  10. I like this little indie duo called Widowspeak and I feel their album “The Jacket” should have been nominated in the Best alternative music album category. (I was already sick of Wet Leg being pushed on me by the alt music press six months ago).
  11. The American right wing will never cease to not amaze me with their utterly regressive, twisted narratives and not so hidden agenda’s. Whilst I personally do not feel the need to see Sam Smith indulge in water sports any more than I need to see Anitta indulge in assimilated cock worship, I have come to the conclusion that every generation is at this point going to now feel the need to go there. I would be a hypocrite if I did not cite this as a reminder that (in Sam’s case), Pop already went there long ago and whether they choose to admit it or not, this scene at 3 mins, 15 secs is most likely where they took their inspiration. Sam previously (subtly) alluded to a character in the lyrics of their previous single (with Kim Petras), having gone to an EVEN more extreme place, so in some bizarre way they are now being subtle. I’m sure the outrage of that right wing U.S. political woman (or whatever she is) - at its core is alluding to Sam’s current video as I find it hard to believe her shock stems from that Grammy’s performance costume alone. Particularly as the American right wing (which she clearly represents), has already taken note and “cancelled” Sam on the basis of their current video: ————————————————————————————— Regarding Beyoncé, I personally loved her third album but have not enjoyed anything at all from her fifth album onwards and whilst that means nothing and is absolutely no reason why she should not have won this years AOTY Grammy for “Renaissance”, given how much others appear to love it .. Beyoncé is not and never has been “Disco”, nor paid anything other than lip service to that genre on an interpolation from her old track “Naughty Girl”. So when I see Beyoncé appropriating the symbolism of the disco ball (in imagery from her current album campaign), I cannot help but feel led up the garden path in terms of where the album is going in terms of style. in her career she has cosplayed at being Donna Summer (an artist who means the world to me) in the aforementioned track and she has also cosplayed at being Diana Ross (in “Dream Girls”). In her quarter century of fame, Beyoncé has pissed off so many women of colour from Keri Hilson, through to Robin S and Kelis. The last I heard, Kelis wanted to sue the writing team behind a track (titled “Energy”) from Beyoncé’s current album (including Beyoncé herself whom Kelis does not like) and although Robin S never wrote HER own signature hit “Show Me Love”, I know Robin felt hurt when (without warning) her phone started ringing non stop after the drop of “Break My Soul”, with media interest wanting her hot take on her (non) “collaboration” with Beyoncé, completely oblivious to wtf the media were talking about. Beyoncé (it transpired) never felt the need to reach out to a veteran (still working) performer to warn her that she had lifted the baseline from her biggest (and signature) hit and needed it to sell the launch single from HER latest album. I could go on, but suffice to say it seems to me overall there is some outstanding bad feeling pertaining to certain writer/ performers not feeling correctly rewarded for their contribution to Beyoncé’s latest opus (which may yet result in forthcoming legal drama) and therefore the Grammy Committee were perhaps already astutely aware of this and on that basis considered that a full Beyoncé AOTY award might just be a problematic bridge too far in the long term. I cite this video at 2 hours and 7 minutes in, where the subject turns to Kelis and she goes on to describe her feelings on Beyoncé’s use of her song.
  12. I have no words.. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/sam-smith-unholy-grammys-satanism-panic-gop-1234674687/
  13. I’m tired of the seeming entitlement Beyoncé and her fans appear to believe she has to AOTYA. Whenever it’s Lana’s year she always finds herself in a similar predicament with the Grammy Awards Committee. I feel Lizzo should have won this year. I just have to eye-roll whenever that awful tattooed twink wins anything. I will absolutely cackle at Beyoncé’s reaction if Doja Cat wins next year.
  14. BBC Radio 2 Piano Room Sessions: 01) Too Lost In You 02) No Regrets 03) Flowers (Miley Cyrus Cover) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand/m001485m .. should hopefully be up on YouTube at some point later.
  15. Sincere thanks to those who put the hard work into mastering, sequencing, creating artwork and bringing this project together. You guys are awesome!
  16. I’m glad Keisha has finally addressed the whole “heritage” act thing. Hopefully fans (on certain corners of the internet), who were desperately trying to place them in that box will shut up now! Likewise, I personally do not need to hear “a re-recording of One Touch with their adult voices”. ——————————————————————————— On a different note, there’s this new interview where Siobhan references her last Australian trip: Australia being an earlier stop on the same (now legendary) overseas trip where Siobhan left, on their very next stop in Japan. This eastern inflected Australian TV performance is also of note, as many people now consider it the best live rendition/ arrangement of “Overload” that the group have ever done.
  17. True. I suspect it was a lack of parental boundaries in Lisa Marie’s childhood that directly led to her sense of feeling lost in the world as an adult. It’s definitely a cliched tale of destiny rooted in old Hollywood.
  18. I’d love to hear Adele on a dance banger like “Euphoria” by Loreen (or the holy grail, Donna Summer on Lonnie Gordon’s “Happenin’ All Over Again”).
  19. Been busy, so did this happen or was it BS in the end? I can’t find a YouTube link.
  20. I hope once they reconvene after she has gone through the tour/ reissue program/ next studio album cycle, that they (re)consider Paris Jackson for the lead role.
  21. It’s embarrassing for all concerned, after two scripts by two separate writers (Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson) Followed by a week long all singing/ dancing boot camp attended not only by winner Julia Garner but also Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young and Bebe Rexha. However, rumours of almost her entire life (prior to landing in New York), being glossed over in both scripts sounded disappointing to me. Perhaps all concerned simply need the time and space to find a different production company. With rumours of both scripts running to three hours apiece, I think a story of such density would be better served in the hands of a director like Martin Scorsese (whilst he’s still around) or even Baz Luhrmann, certainly not someone with much less comparative experience (Madonna), who has never been celebrated in that arena herself. Down the line (once she re-groups her wagons), other directors I think she should consider are Peter Jackson, Bryan Singer or Dexter Fletcher.
