    I mean, we know that Bonnie wanted to at least try to be a popstar in her own right before she approached an age where she would be too old to launch as one and she had already made millions (by that point) from worldwide songwriting royalties (for others) which had already made her financially independent. For the above reasons combined to the fact she obviously made important connections in the music industry (on the way up) - does make it suspicious (at least to me) after such a good start - that only a sheer act of willful sabotage could possibly have ruined it for her. After listening to all the gossip for so long, that is how I personally view her and for those reasons, I will never blame her or ridicule her for not making it as a popstar, because I’m simply not convinced (and never have been) that she is the one at fault. I’ve said my piece, all I wanted to do was defend her.

    What is this random story that occasionally surfaces (whenever I least expect it) about Katy Perry’s manager being unhappy with Bonnie for making a choice to stop writing for Katy and the manager sabotaging Bonnie’s career from behind the scenes out of revenge? If that’s what Bonnie is up against then why are we being so hard on her?

    Dua Lipa has a role in and has recorded several brand new songs for the upcoming “BARBIE” soundtrack album (including its theme). The movie hits theatre's on July 21st. This is the official half way bridging point that leads us out of her second album era (> before the reveal of her third official studio set). So, before getting too hung up on what’s to come in her forthcoming third album era - don’t forget to remember that not every track recorded for the “BARBIE” soundtrack will have made the final cut (and could very well be worth tracking down), especially when written for an Ultra-Pop movie like “BARBIE”. Please feel free to update the thread as and when Dua related news (including new leaks) break. Were you planning on watching “BARBIE”? If you were not before, has the reveal of Dua being in the cast changed your mind?

    “10 Out Of 10” - single by Oliver Heldens and Kylie is now out in New Zealand and Australia. The single version is less than 3 minutes long (2:50). The extended mix known from Heldens' “Heldeep Radio” will be available on Beatport on April 5th.

    I wanted to create a thread that offers space to and showcases the music and talents of established contemporary (and post millennial, 21st century) female artists working to the immediate left of the Pop mainstream who are often (though not exclusively) on smaller labels, with smaller budgets, who have fanbases, yet have not directly crossed over into public consciousness. I know that certain gays are atypically switched off by the presence of guitars in music and whilst that’s not necessarily what alt pop is about, that is often a staple of indie pop. In which case no hard feelings if this thread is too far to the left for you. Whilst I do not think this type of artist would be able to carry and sustain a thread on their own, I am hoping they may be able to together and that this thread (in time), may be viewed upon and thought of as a warm, welcoming and receptive space for any and all alt. gays on #PHF whose mood and musical taste sometimes leans toward the left. To hopefully get the ball rolling, it’s only right that I offer up some examples of the types of artists I am referring to.
