  1. I can also relate because my pet dog (who was supposed to be mine), imprinted on my Mom. How are you feeling now? I know it’s not easy but please try not to get too upset. Know that @Kipper and I are here for you if you want to vent.
  2. Okay, so some Aussie queens on Facebook have (cough) started a change.org petition to pressurize Australian TV into purchasing syndication rights from the BBC for Dannii’s gay dating show: https://www.change.org/p/i-kissed-a-boy-tv-show-australia Wow!
  3. Indeed, it does sound like a strong track. Sometimes it just comes down to internal politics 🤷🏼‍♀️. Tbh I have heard weaker Xenomania produced material than this, that did get released (Unperfect I’m looking at you 👀).
  4. I don’t subscribe to Sky (a premium service) and if I did I would not have a clue how to break through the digital broadcast encryption. If this ever does appear, it sounds like the kind of thing that (in days gone by) would have shown up as a google drive folder on torrent sites like ‘Pirate Bay’ (if that’s even still a thing).
  5. Demi accidentally went live from a troll IG? I wonder if it was screen captured..
  6. We all have them, from time to time.. those moments when we find ourselves getting tingles from and resonating with a song that sometimes actively imbues a total epiphany and the willpower to make (then stick to) a complete change in life.. a flop song that a label has put money behind and actively promotes but the world does not like (or even a song that gets written + recorded but for various reasons nobody even bothers to release at all).. then nothing and the song then either sinks and/ or completely vanishes without trace. This is one of mine.. I would love it to become a solo vehicle for Perrie Edwards at some future point: What’s one of yours? Please try and link on YouTube (whenever possible) and if you think your track would work better being introduced to the public as a vehicle for another artist, feel free to say which one.
  7. 12 years ago today, Selena released “Love You Like a Love Song”. The video for this innocuous song ignited an argument in the Gomez household when Selena insisted she was going to be wearing a bustier in the video and went against her stepfather’s wishes for her not to! Whilst Selena has gone on to further evolve as an artist, this track still resonates with and holds a place in the lives and hearts of many:
  8. The holy trinity of Rachel Steven’s “Come & Get It”, Holly Valance’s “State Of Mind” and Dannii’s “Neon Nights”, are considered to be essential dance/ pop albums by every noughties gay. To celebrate today’s re-release of the 20 Year Expanded Reissue of “Neon Nights”, I felt it was finally time to present a deep dive of Dannii’s videography as she strives to find opportunities to break away from (making rent with) TV presenting gigs (on the side) and hopefully gets back into her first and one true passion in life - Music. The Matinèe is about to begin so grab some popcorn, find a cozy seat on the sofa & let’s go: Dannii - Her Recording Artist Career & Chronological Videography Highlights From It (A Music + Style Evolution):
  9. AI photo of Nick Jonas is currently going viral. Suddenly I like the idea of a Nick Jonas/ Charlie Puth Sandwich.

    Pre-save Roisin’s [Rosh-een’s] new single “Fader” (June 20th), now:

  11. I first heard about this song way back in 1994, at that point I know it was a source of frustration and that they wanted to polish the vocal in a way that the technology of that time would not allow. I’m therefore low key interested to hear the results. I heard a radio soundbite with Paul McCartney the other day in which he said they had taught their bespoke software to remove a guitar part (and some static interference) and that they were happy with the results. What he did not say, was whether they had used AI of John Lennon’s previously, professionally recorded vocals to augment his later preserved voice from the home recorded cassette tape. Either way, this is the only other available demonstration (and it’s a visual one), of how Paul has authorized the use of tech (in the below example - deep fake), with eyebrow raising results: And it appears they did use the real present day ‘him’ to get it just right:
  12. Whilst most continue to obsess over the chart performance of “Padam Padam”, naughty Danielle Jane is also scoring what is shaping up to be her biggest hit in almost two decades: One of her more interesting recent (music focussed) interviews in support of its release: https://www.euphoriazine.com/blog/2023/06/interviews-dannii-minogue/
  13. I agree, I remember listening to that album just after its release and realizing there had been an unexpected shift in her sound and consequently developing a new found level of respect for her. Prior to that she was just another basic pop girl who I went to for generic bops. From the “Revival” era onwards, she became 50 times more interesting to me. I admit before that point, she was literally the last pop girl on earth whom I ever expected to take a risk by taking a left turn like that, yet from that moment on she has subtly maintained a slight edge with quirky production sounds, unexpected key changes and subtle visual easter eggs galore. She may have began as just another generic Disney Princess but she has since perfectly transcended those origins to now become an actual artist in her own right (out with that disneyfied context), who is far more interesting and somewhat deeper in a way that is truly unique to her. It really is amazing how she has successfully made the transition to adult artist without alienating her original core audience in the process. For many artists (even some who began life as same generational contemporaries of Selena), it simply does not happen that smoothly. Unlike many others, I am not someone who was ever won over by Taylor (for example) quite as easily as I was by Selena and (over time), I realize that Selena has since become far more rewarding as an artist (at least for me).
  14. I thought the whole Hailey Beiber thing was old news but there has been a slight development.. After watching this video, I’m not sure if Hailey Bieber is genuinely being altruistic towards Selena or not? However I was shocked by some of the negative comments left on Selena’s IG post (referred to above), so perhaps Hailey really was attempting to help Selena out?
  15. Charlie Puth for the latest edition of “Interview” Mag.. Is he giving “Top” or “Bottom” energy? .. A debate. What is your view?
  16. I know that technically Demi is a way more gifted singer in terms of actual vocal range, but I find Selena is more inclined to surprise me with some of the slightly more left of centre, artistic choices she makes. This being merely one example:
  17. Selena on her new album: “don't worry guys, it's coming.” Also, Selena and Jordan Peele are developing a series adaptation of graphic novel ‘COYOTES.’ Synopsis: Women are going missing in the City of Lost Girls, a border town in the desert.
