So basically, it’s not a secret to anyone that Spotify will agree to playlist tracks on their most influential mainstream playlists in exchange for cold hard cash and whilst Bonnie’s budget stretches to a video, it does not quite stretch that far. Therefore she misses out at the hands of a corrupt system that is open to abuse (most frequently by major labels). Shit stinks.

If you genuinely do consider inclusion on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist (one of their most important playlists), to not be influential in generating heat surrounding an artist attempting to grow their base.. then okay. The rate at which the view count of this very thread rises, day on day - makes it pretty clear a whole lot more than just 35 people are viewing it as their ‘go to’ news source of all things Bonnie related and there is every chance those people are on Twitter/ IG/ TikTok.

Is there anything we can do in the form of an online petition/ demonstration? They are surely on Twitter & IG etc, can’t we use customer power to force them to do an about turn and reconsider? The fact they have not play-listed her, opens them up to accusations of receiving payola from the major label system in exchange for playlist inclusion (by those type of artists). Debut (and flop) single from someone whose next single would later go on to hit No.1, from a parent album that would also later go on to hit No.1. I have always much preferred this flop single that preceded all of that and live for the slow-burn structural build up that finally reaches a crescendo in the middle #8

I feel affected in the same way by the same member. They only wind down the dial to later come back out of the blue with an unexpected vengeance. It is absolutely crazy behaviour and they are a total buzzkill. The fact this thread exists suggests we can’t be the only two people affected by them. Blocking him doesn’t totally work. I wish we did not have to deal with the individual anymore, but sadly it appears we do. I did not want to be too critical of them in the past because I felt they were displaying clear characteristics that are suggestive of someone diagnosed with a certain kind of behavioural disorder. However, their whining, boasting and general negativity is becoming a pain in the ass that never ends and it is getting hard to be delicate about the matter. Ultimately, we are a community of pop music lovers and not necessarily medically qualified professionals who are equipped to deal with sporadic outbursts of psychodrama and insane paranoia at the whim of another member.
