She seriously has to release the album at this point T_T I swear, this could have been my favorite album of the decade if it was released, AND it could still become one of my favorite albums ever. I just need Bonnie to let us buy it. Dear god. Take my money, please. Btw, I Wanna ********* Call You remains her magnum opus imo. 1. I Wanna ********* Call You 2. American Girl 3. Hot City 4. Rewind Your Heart 5. Forever 21 / Electric Heaven
-
Also, THANK GOD her magnum opus aka I Wanna Fucking Call You is there 💞
-
I mean, it could still be considered summer-ish... in Australia lol

Some of you guys can say whatever, but the fact that she organized that whole "vault themed" party is honestly a nice confirmation that the album is coming and it's not just some TikTok fiction. It's just a matter of time at this point. An august release would be nice, but I'm open for a fall one too.

OMG tracklist?!?!?
-
I believe the release of this album helped me to handle the light years between BLACKPINK's comebacks.
-
Being optimistic and assuming that mixing and mastering will be all done by mid-July, IF EVERYTHING ELSE IS READY (cover, promo pics, etc.), it would be realistic to think about a an early to mid-August release.

Little update, she replied to a comment I made on her IG asking about the album with "mixing it as we speak!" ✨

Mess, I didn’t know that was her house… another element to highlight my point I guess lol Anyway I’ll forever love American Girl, it’s such a perfect pop song. Deserved the to take over the whole universe. Btw little flashback, is it just me who remembers forums be like “oh this song is so good, she let Roar go so that this smashes!” back when American Girl was released? Lol
-
That’s a good point. Maybe she contacted someone she worked with on the album who had the files (?)
-
I’ll forever feel sorry for her. And the release of this album is A REAL JOURNEY that should have it going viral on TikTok while Epic watches Bonnie making it on her own as the ending lol

I like to make "essays" when I care about something, and I truly cared/care for Bonnie's lost album. It literally has everything I love about well done pop music. Anyway I agree, but it was just incredibly stupid to expect her to blow up no matter what just because she wrote hits. Looking back at what they did, it's like they wanted her to become a """popstar""" without providing what was needed to do it. Again, American Girl did really well all things considered, it's just incredibly embarrassing that Epic's division in charge of her didn't realize it. If they wanted Katy 2.0 they should have given her Katy's promo budget, they didn't and yet the single sold 300k. Be happy about it and release single 2 dear lord. And, about single 2, I don't think S.L.A.Y. was/would have been a good option. Hot City, Forever 21 and I Wanna Fucking Call you are much stronger, and coherent given how "in your face" American Girl is, especially IWFY.

It must be quite frustrating, if you remove the fact that she has an incredible career as a songwriter, it's quite obvious how she's been mistreated her whole career as a soloist. Epic truly failed its work on her solo project which is crazy considering that she's literally one of the masterminds of multiple hits of the early 10s and the album was/is literally a perfect collection of what those hits are made of. As I said before, she could have definitely become a more dance oriented Carly Rae Jepsen, an artist whose following is not extra huge yet it's very dedicated. If you think about it, Kiss (Carly Rae's second album and first "major" album) came out exactly 10 years ago. While it is definitely a bit more bubblegum pop, it has some of the spark that surround Bonnie's Epic tracks. Carly's team then managed to make her a "cult" artist among pop fans, they removed some "bubblegum" from the formula (mostly keeping it for her leads) and highlighted the "pure pop" side of the project. While American Girl didn't make the same impact as Katy Perry's songs, it did incredibly well considering where Bonnie was coming from and the amount of promo she got in comparison to the artists she made songs for. Epic should have kept going, with the album's release to then highlight the "dance" part of Bonnie's project for the album's sequel. Bonnie and Carly's trajectories could have been similar yet different. They're both incredible pop songwriters, and while (post-Kiss) Carly provides a more "I just want to make music" kind of aura, Bonnie has a more "show girl" kind of vibe. They could have peacefully co-existed while probably sharing a nice chunk of their fanbases. In conclusion, anyway, the "Epic album" still sounds incredible and releasing it today would make her a bit of a one-of-a-kind type of pop singer. It's a bit of a paradox, but I'm confident if she had a real team behind her it could shine even brighter than a decade ago due to how bland and uneventful (most of) contemporary pop became.

She's a great songwriter, like, great. I feel like her post-Epic stuff doesn't sound as well "epic" because she chose so and because (most of) mainstream western music (sadly) became incredibly basic and simpler if compared to the landscape that surrounded the early 10s. While I do agree that a great team definitely helps to create good music, I don't believe that that specific team is necessary. There are many producers she could work with to recreate the early 10s sound without necessarily selling her soul imo. Erik Lidbom, is definitely the first name that comes to my mind. He's a Swedish producer who mainly works with J-Pop and K-Pop artists, Bonnie and him also worked together already (Namie Amuro's make it happen), and he's a pro when it comes to dance pop. He doesn't normally work with Westerners, but there are some exceptions. Alexandra Stan's Cherry Pop, Dance, Digital and Zoom Zoom have all been produced by him. I strongly believe they could create incredible new songs together.

I genuinely hope the Epic album will do good so that she’ll keep its sound for future releases.
-
I still have hope. It's just pointless to keep the stuff locked at this point tbh
-
A pretty big part of me doesn’t care about charts at all, I just care about the music, but this time I’d seriously love the album to go viral and smash. I want Epic to realize how awfully they handled Bonnie’s career. She could have easily become the dance pop version of the path followed by Carly Rae. The whole journey leading to this album is just so crazy for both artist and fans.
-
Forever 21 and I Wanna F Call You are the perfect songs for TikTok imo. I’ll probably use the first one to create a video based on those profiles of the *orange app* that just REFUSE to change their age or pics despite both being from a decade ago 🥰
-
We should try to create content to make it trend on TikTok once it gets released.
-
She should honestly work with Erik Lidbom again for her own music. Perfect duo.
-
I feel like Namie Amuro’s make it happen is the one song Bonnie gave away that I want to listen to the most, in terms of being curious about her version. It’s such a majestic song. https://fb.watch/dy5xlt17D5/?fs=e&s=cl

Yeah, I think July might be the earliest possible.
-
Considering how much I love the album already, I’ll buy both digital and physical editions. truly wish it could make an impact somehow, I need western pop stars start making proper dance music again lol
-
That song is soooooo euphoric, I wish I could time travel to 2013 once its released. The early 10s are my favorite music era ever tbh. About Electric Heaven, I feel like it is a great demo, the verses might be richer tho… I have faith!
