I love the four songs she gave us Y'know, at this point, I'm fine with her being a Halloween chanteuse and only dropping bops once a year. Dressed to Kill is such a serve
-
The Hot City dragging needs to stawp or else Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt.mp3 I feel like y'all underestimate the power of proper production and final well-done remaster polish--the most important thing is that the potential is there, and I don't trust anyone who refuses to bop to HC's incredible verses and pre-chorus. Imo, you could have Max Martin himself try and fix Thorns and it'd still be an underwhelming throwaway track that should've NEVER seen the light of day even if it was a Taiwan bonus track Also, the stark production differences between the leaked Epic songs really help aiding us in what would've most likely been included on the EP that was to follow American Girl (which was originally supposed to be the full-length album but this was the beginning of Epic trolling her). It's a no-brainer S.L.A.Y., SGGH, Everything But You, IWFCY, and Rewind Your Heart would've made it because they are so polished. Forever 21 probably as well, though who knows since it hasn't leaked and won't be leaking. Songs like Mirage, Hitman, etc. were probably going to be rerecorded and completely redone, but once Epic made the decision she'd release an EP, I think she ended up scrapping them. I'm torn about tracks like Electric Heaven, Outlaw, and Sexin' U. They clearly lack a lot of polish, but would've made cute bops if they were finished. Don't Get Mad, Get Famous is incomplete. Point blank period.

I agree even though I think it'd sound great if Oliver remastered it and made it sound more in line with American Girl
-
I really thought she was finally onto something when she released Poison and generated controversy with the steamy Chris Brown Body on Me song 💀 Btw I've never followed her music meticulously, but wasn't the second album supposed to be the one that had Calvin Harris as an executive producer (and we only heard I Will Never Let You Down from those sessions afaik, and what an ironic title lol... let us down she has and several times!!). So, are the 2015-16 singles from her second second scrapped album, or would those be from a third scrapped album?

Hearing about how many indie girls hooked up with random men to help them in their careers makes me think a lot of these Queens were better off under a record label

Obviously Thorns. Imagine owning the masters to bops like Rewind Your Heart and Forever 21, but putting out such a nondescript Walmart version of Selena Gomez. I wouldn't like the song even as an album track. An instant skip for me. Having said that most of the non-event singles she put out since the cult classic that is Bombastic are just meh to me. Mad Mad World grew on me a little; it doesn't even hint at her full potential as a pop diva, but it's tolerable in spite of its generique-ness. Bad Girls Go to Heaven, Lovely, and Riding Shotgun are all boring and got stale after the first listen. Her debut album (Trouble)..... was her first attempt at writing music and it was like a cute lil extracurricular project that I don't count as part of her official discography 💀 It's Bonnie's Katy Hudson era. I do think it's funny Confessions of a Teenage Girl served as the inspiration for Katy's One of the Boys though and you can really hear the influence during the verses 😅 Omg not me being naive and thinking Neon and Benny were just good friends 😆 Why am I thinking of Ava and Cirkut's working relationship now 💀

Yaaaaasssss The only thing that bothers me about boyfriends being involved in someone's career is that once the relationship goes South you never know what the fallout will be. In Rita Ora's case, her entire Calvin Harris album got shelved because he refused to let her release it (how petty is that lmao). And while we wait for new leaks because Bonnie is now a tiktok star and amateur short film director and won't be releasing anything anytime soon, feel free to stream her smash hit song 'Thorns' and inbetweengle 'Sleepwalker'
-
Just wanted to ask y'all if you think Bonnie is an opportunist. She always seems to wind up with guys who are either music producers, music video directors, or men that at the very least have some connections that could help her further whatever plans she has at the time. I'm not judging, and granted, girl lives in L.A. and socializes with people who are almost exclusively involved in the entertainment industry in some way... but it is somewhat 'suspicious' all her ex-boyfriends were significantly involed in her career in some way 😅
-
How did you know I was daydreaming about listening to the I Want It All instrumental the other day Thank you for blessing us with all this goodness even though Bonnie hates the gheyz Loooooovvvvveeee Rewind You Heart. It was and easily could've been Bonnie's Firework moment. Oh well. My other favorites are I Wanna F****** Call You, Sexin' U, So Called Life (wish we had it in higher quality) and, of course, Hot Citaaayyyyyy 😭
-
Omg omg I wasn't ready 😭😭😭 Thank youuuu ❤️
-
Haha you're such a tease today 😀 And good job on the RYH cover!! Are you gonna add some background or are you going for a more minimalistic look? 👁️

Great find!! I've actually been binging podcasts with Bonnie in them and she does mention (quite frequently I might add) that she's fed up with the music scene in general, and often brings up how expensive it is to be an indie artist. Lowkey, I really don't think she'll ever drop the damn album girls... It's been, what, 8 years now and any momentum she might've gained back when the star-studded American Girl lip sync video gained traction has dissipated by now. It's gonna take a lot more than a couple of cute tik toks reminding Gen Z who she is to generate hype. She keeps waiting for the right time, but guess what, the right time to drop a full-length album was when she wrapped up the Bombastic EP with the Easy music video. I don't even understand why she included those 4 great songs on that LVCRFT album when they went completely unnoticed. Oh and do you guys remember we were supposed to get a Mad Mad World music video? WTH happened to that? I swear she's been shooting music videos and doing visual EPs for 20 years now and the only project she has ever managed to complete was Bombastic.
-
Btw besties, speaking of non-Epic songs, what was the deal with Thorns? Who lied to Bonnie's face and told her that song would make a great single? Because they're not her friend and probably wanted to sabotage her 😅 The music video with the 80s VHS filter and the pink hair was a serve, but it's probably my least favorite of the 4 songs she released since Bombastic 💀
-
Oh yeah her debut album is a classic for sure! And Alive is great overall with Thunder being my favorite modern pop ballad of all time ❤️
-
Which of the two? 😅 I personally don't care for the Right Now that's circulating since it sounds dated and very demo-esque. It's giving me Hit Man type of quality, and it's definitely not from Epic sessions. As for Dr. Puke's Right Now, I'm impartial... I'd have to hear the studio version of the song in full to decide whether to put it on the album or not. It's just that I can already tell solely by the live performance alone it's very Jessie J circa Alive era in sound and that's my least favorite Dr. Puke era.

So I don't want to come off as rude, and I realize the exchange today was heated on both sides... people were called names etc., but imo we're all above calling someone a 'psycho' or other such insults. There's no need to use mental health as a clapback, and we really are better than this. Fixed, and I agree wholeheartedly. I really find it mind-boggling. Personally--I haven't had much experience with the song trading scene, but my guess is having someone share those songs with the rest of the fanbase for free just has all the traders pressed AF because they played the game, followed the rules, and churned out a lot of money--and for what? An ex-pop star turned Instagram/tiktok influencer's song that is now out there and can no longer be leveraged to get new songs out of folks. From what I've gathered, once a song leaks you can no longer use it for trade anymore which adds to the overall pressed-ness and bitterness people probably harbor for certain members. I can only imagine that seeing 'Hot City' (one of the most sought-after and demanded songs from the album) leak had all the people with their secret hoarded collections S H O O K to the core.
-
Ok lol. I hope y'all are having fun leaving comments here about sitting on her Epic album for half a year 😄
-
Tbh the only dramatic people I see in here are those acting as if they own Bonnie McKee's music and who are scared their hoarded collections will lose value as a result of Hit Me Up leaking
-
Speaking of which, what's the point in sitting on all these songs? 😅 I understand that it's quite an art to trade songs, and you guys don't owe anyone anything, but like, where is the fun in listening to all these songs on your own and then going on here reading comments upon comments of people thirsting for more Bonnie? Just curious 🙃 I think it's incredibly sweet @bearsbummer is kind enough to share what they have with the community.
-
Guys, do we know what the origin of all these songs is? I vaguely remember Bonnie mentioning in some podcast her hard drive got stolen during a party she was throwing (with all her music on it). Also, the S.L.A.Y. that got leaked is the first version of the song that she started performing when opening for Karmin. Living in the shadow is cold, with the hotlight of the spotlight (leaked version) was later changed to: Living in the shadow is cold, wanna burn bright like the sunrise The chorus as well: We can do anything, it don't matter what people think, we'll keep slaying it every single time (leaked version) We can do anything, it don't matter what people think, we'll keep slaying like 1999 The revised version is also the one she performed acoustically.

Omg omg you're saving Bon Bons all around the globe 😭 May I bother you for Hit Me Up as well? 😭 I understand if you don't want to share with me since I'm new here, but I promise I won't spread the leak further without your permission. And thank you for sharing the snippet of the four unleaked songs... the first three sounded quite polished and very Epic-esque.... I thought we already had the majority of songs from Epic sessions, could there be more we haven't heard? 😲 Also the Right Now snippet confirms it's not the Dr. Luke production and it sounds like a song she'd write around 2007/2008.
-
Is the full version finally out there? 😭 Say yes even if it ain't true 😭
-
You're an icon, you're a legend, and you are the moment. Now, come on, now! 😄 And I'm so sorry you had to deal with that, I lowkey/highkey wish there was a block button irl as well.
-
I feel like we'd already have Forever 21 had it not been so overhyped 😅 although it really does seem that song isn't circulating since all we got are those fake snippets but no studio recording, I feel you though, the fact we're missing such an essential track is triggering my completionist OCD. I can live without Hit Me Up and Right Now -- since she gave HMU away I wouldn't put it on my version of the Epic album anyway, and Right Now being a Dr. Luke track (and sounding very basic at that, dude could've given our sis Bonnie top tier material but nope) would not get included either. I just wanna say I have SO much love for that one person who leaked Hot City! Like, we stan philanthropic humanitarian kindness Queen/King.

It's all about Janet for me and I can't wait for when 2031 finally comes around to listen to Black Diamond. In the meantime, Damita Jo is essentially on repeat and I can't get enough of Throb from janet.
