Hahaha your posts are hilarious and always make my day It's kinda tragic how the album she's least proud of and that she doesn't even like, as well as one that doesn't reflect her current artistry at all, is the only one available EVERYWHERE for purchase and streaming. I originally celebrated the fact she went independent because I'd assumed that her being free of the bureaucracy and the dated ways labels market pop stars would lead to her being more productive, but now I've come to the conclusion that maybe she should've never gone independent because look where we are. 2022, her last song was released 3 years ago, she's only released ONE extended play in 2015, and seven promo singles in total since leaving Epic. It's clear Bonnie is the type of artist who needs deadlines and other people pushing her to get things done, otherwise she gets distracted. I'm happy she enjoys shooting her short films and developing her acting reel, but last I heard her dream was to become the biggest pop star in the world. She needs focus, and she needs to set deadlines and meet them. The TikToks are cute, but unless she's trying to rebrand herself as an influencer they ain't gonna cut it.

I honestly don't know what she's thinking anymore and why she won't just get it over with and drop (at least) an EP. That's what I would do if I were in her position. GET YOUR COINS, girl. Yeah, it sucks, and this wasn't the way she imagined us to hear the songs but as others have said--at this rate we'd all be listening to S.L.A.Y. on our deathbeds; she wants everything to be so perfect that in the end she ends up achieving nothing and she's really her own worst enemy. She'll most likely use it as an excuse to not release any new music for the next ten years. See you for the next leak fest in 2032 y'all. For real though, the normal sane thing for her to do would be to just get those damn songs on streaming services, so she can actually profit from her work. Well, I mean, the leaked Hot City does sound like the version she used to perform, but I guess the reason why I think it's not completely finished is because it sounds a bit rough to my ears (in comparison to Rewind Your Heart, Everything But You (final), and Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt which are all like perfectly polished and ready for CD printing).

Me too, is there a final version though? I think it's more likely for the final version of S.L.A.Y. to leak than it is for IWFCY, Also, final Hot City would end careers.

I'll never understand this "artist doesn't owe us anything" logic and I'll forever refuse to understand it. Call me obtuse or whatever, I Don't Care.m4a--she's a public figure and wants to make a living by creating products (=songs) for her customers (=fans). Whoever your customers are, you should treat them with respect and make sure they're pleased with the product you're selling them. In her case, she's making great music, but for whatever reason chooses not to release it. Imagine Apple teasing a new iPhone for 15+ years. Would the customers wait that long or would they move on to other competitors? Can you still apply the overused "They don't owe you anything" logic? Sure, in general, no one owes you anything, but if your goal is to be a pop star, you'd better make sure you're delivering on your promise, and promises there have been many, way too many to count, all of which have never been kept. The way she's been treating her fans is odd to say the least, and her lack of understanding why these leaks continue to happen mind-boggling. Also, she's not the only female independant artist in existence. Is it hard? Yes. Is it expensive? Absolutely. But there're many indie singers with less of a following who are worse off financially and they're still able to put out an album or two in 3 years.

What's more, WE KNOW she was able to negotiate with Epic upon leaving the label and walk away with full ownership of the masters to all the Epic songs. So baby girl has been sitting on Forever 21 and the rest of the album for over EIGHT years now and there's never been a right time or opportunity to put them out? I do not understand this woman. Girrrlll you need to stop exercising so much telepathy and hacking into my mind because that's EXACTLY what I was thinking. Sadly, I think our sis Sia might have a better deal which allows her to claim onwnership over the songs she wrote in case a bigger artist rejected them unlike Bonnie who churns out all these bops but then has to let them go even if nobody ended up using them.

I submitted some pretty good corrections for many of the recently leaked songs, but most of them were not approved by the person who first added the songs to the database. I guess the people over there prefer to have lyrics with insanely bad punctuation, blatant spelling errors, and missing parts they couldn't make out. Maybe it's a good thing she put off dropping the album after all because let's be real, the GP and people in general were sadly starting to get sick of bubblegum pop music back in 2014 hence the domination of trap and hip hop for years to come. However, fast forward to now, 2022, people like Charli and The Weeknd are serving high quality synthpop/city pop which, imo, are genres Bonnie could excel in.
