IF she releases the album (and let's get real, that's a BIG IF) I actually think it would be really smart of her to title it "American Girl" (even though the song itself obviously won't be on the album). It's the song she's best known for, so if people look up "Bonnie McKee American Girl" on Spotify at least the album would come up alongside the single. Plus, she talked about this project "closing that chapter" so I think it would make sense from that perspective. As far as a tracklist goes, on one of the recent podcasts didn't she say there would be a couple songs that no one's heard before? Am I making that up? Lol. I know that this was the mid-2020 draft (not necessarily in this order): S.L.A.Y. Forever 21 Outlaw Electric Heaven Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt Wild Card Rewind Your Heart Jenny's Got a Boyfriend Show Me Your Love Worst in Me But seeing how much Bonnie flip-flops and second guesses herself, I'm sure this has changed over the past 2 years. I think it's safe to say "I Wanna Fucking Call You" will be included based on the fact that some people here have a brand new completely re-produced version of it. We'll probably never know.

Thanks so much for sharing!!! I love the new "This is our universe" lyric. The album finally feels complete and I finally feel like I have some damn closure and can get off this nearly 10-year-long rollercoaster. Since this is the "2020 version" I wonder if she's tweaked it further since? She was giving us her classic "polishing it up for u right now!" line a couple months ago (🙄). Fingers crossed she does release this at some point so we can get it on streaming, but I'm seriously not holding my breath. Now if we could just get the final/fixed version of IWFCY.

Since there's no news about Bonnie's music career in sight, here's a new song that she co-wrote with Peach PRC, out today. Major BOP.

I'm confused as to why we're suddenly believing this "last minute legal problems" narrative? She's had almost 10 years to sort all the red tape out. Why would Epic waste their time and resources battling with an artist that they parted ways with nearly a decade ago? I've said this before, and I'll say it again – the reason she hasn't released anything is because she's terrified it will under-perform. She still compares herself to her "peers" like Katy Perry and Kesha, when in reality she's an independent artist who's last EP was released 7 years ago. I adore Bonnie, and have been a long-time fan, but it's like being in an abusive relationship at this point. The constant "it's coming!!" "sooner than u think!" "polishing it up for u!" "editing the music video right now!" is truly exhausting. After watching that recent interview I have even less faith that she'll release this project – anytime soon at least. She was throwing around "mid-August" but meanwhile she doesn't even know what distribution service she's going to use? Not to mention she hasn't properly started teasing anything on social media. And if y'all were around for the Bombastic era you know how long she loves to tease and drag things out. Rather than hunker down and actually make things happen (i.e. finish the damn Slay music video or release SOMETHING in the meantime), instead she's following her boyfriend around the country on tour and gluing her fingers together. I genuinely believe that she cares deeply about these songs and this project, but I think the only thing preventing her from releasing it is her internal demons and the fear that it will flop.

Not trying to be rude, but Bonnie is an independent artist who's put out one EP in the past DECADE. Why would she have a team? It's incredibly frustrating because her rational for going independent was to "connect with the fans" and "release music more frequently". Meanwhile she ignores us and her last single was released 3 years ago. Knowing what a perfectionist she is, she's going to be editing this music video for months.

100% this. If it's taken her this long to "polish up" SLAY (and it's still not ready ) there's no way we're getting an album anytime soon. We'll be lucky if we get SLAY in August. And when it doesn't perform to her (unrealistic) expectations, we'll be lucky if we get the album at all.

Your Electric Heaven remaster is 1000000x's better than the original leaked file. Though I am very curious as to what the new version sounds like. Bonnie said it got a "makeover".

Remember when she said she decided to go independent because she was “sick of waiting” and wanted to “release music more frequently” and “connect with the fans”? The irony. If she had stayed with Epic we probably would have gotten an album (or at least an EP) back in 2014. It may not have looked exactly the way she wanted it to, but I think Bonnie’s perfectionism is what continues to hold her back. As others have said above, the longer she waits, the less likely it is that anything will happen with these songs. I really wish she would just say “fuck it” and start putting them out. Release one single on streaming every month, I’m sure she could secure some playlisting spots (IIRC Spotify added “Thorns” to New Music Friday back in the day) and build up some hype before an album release. Yesterday she posted on IG that she was "slinging merch" for her boyfriend's lame band on tour LOL. She's not "editing the 'SLAY' music video!" or "polishing it as we speak!" ... she's trolling us. She literally doesn't give two shits about this project. I'm so tired. If someone can just leak "Right Now" and the final version of "SLAY" so we can all move on with our lives that'd be great.

An official release of this album is literally never happening and we just need to accept that. At this point I'll be shocked if we actually get a music video / release for "SLAY". I would not at all be surprised if she pulls the ol' "my hard drive crashed and I lost the video" excuse like she did with "Mad Mad World".

The fact that she still doesn't have a definitive release date for "SLAY" yet (just "coming soon!" "sooner than u think!" "in the next couple weeks!") is crazy. There really is NO plan.
