Watching the IG Live now... she said she's filming a music video for "Forever 21" on FRIDAY (we won 😭) and the album is tentatively set to be released in April because she wants to do a summer tour.

I can't believe we still have to wait 5 - 6 months for this damn album.

Looks like there is an actual music video coming (not just the visualizer) for DGMGF, as per her IG story.

It's both. 😬 To me, and 90% of the other people who I've seen comment on the track.

We all support Bonnie (why else would we be here after all of these years?! lol) but I think the criticisms towards her putting out a one minute song as a single are completely valid. Fans have been asking her for this song for a decade (!!) so of course we're going to be underwhelmed when it turns out to be 1:20 long. Especially after all of the hard work she put in to make "SLAY" and "Hot City" so epic and worth the wait. It's just puzzling to me that after all of this time, and after going to the trouble of having this re-produced, she wouldn't write a second verse to make it a fully fleshed out track.

Yeah, I'm not sure how we went from "SLAY" and "Hot City" (perfectly polished pop bangers with amazing artwork and visuals) to... this. She could have at least lip-synced the track in the visualizer. I'm sure she's feeling discouraged by the lack of response on social media lately, but dragging this campaign out even longer is only going to make it worse. We're now on the 3rd single and STILL don't have an album tracklist / release date / pre-order.

She definitely is. They are doing this with many indie artists / creators with mid-size audiences because they want you to pay to get to the top. It's absolute bullshit. I hope she doesn't get discouraged and keeps going. It probably wouldn't hurt her to boost some of her posts for visibility. I mean, even Mariah Carey is doing it right now. Bonnie has spent too much time, money and energy for these songs and visuals to go unnoticed. In other news, I have seen in a few places that DGMGF is indeed 1:21. We lost.

If "SLAY" and "Hot City" didn't light TiKTok on fire, "Don't Get Mad" is probably her best bet to go viral (along with IWFCY). So I'd assume that's her reason for giving it the single treatment. I don't really get the impression that Bonnie cares too much for the song. 😅 Didn't she deny it's inclusion on the album for the longest time? Anyway, I hope it'll be a cute little viral moment to drum up some more interest in the rest of the tracks. It's kind of weird to be releasing it in the beginning of November when the music landscape heavily shifts to Christmas. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if we get a video, or if this is more of a buzz single sort of thing. In other news, in her TikTok comments she said that there are "3 more singles" coming before the album (not sure if this includes "Don't Get Mad" or not).

Wig! Where'd you hear this?! While we need "Forever 21" (her best song) to get the single treatment at some point, I feel like that's a quintessential summer anthem. I think "Rewind Your Heart" would be the perfect sadgirl / sadboi fall bop. That said, I hope we get a "Forever 21" music video alongside the album release in the spring. And another single or two in between if I'm not being too greedy. 😬

Hot City music video is coming this week.

After SLAY was released she said she had a "few more singles" coming out before the album. I wouldn't be surprised if we get one more single at the end of September, followed by the album in late October / early November... I hope I'm wrong but we know Bonnie likes to spread things out. I'd love to see the album pre-order announcement drop alongside the Hot City video premiere, but I'm not holding my breath.

So excited for "Hot City" to get the single treatment! Assuming it's coming early/mid-August (as we know Bonnie likes to tease her releases for a couple weeks) hopefully that means the album is coming in late September. Crossing my fingers that "Forever 21" gets a music video to coincide with the album release as that's the quintessential Bonnie bop for me.

Totally agree. "Everything But You" feels like an essential part of this album/era to me. That bridge alone! Got sunglasses, fake lashes, and everything I got hair-dye and wi-fi, and everything Got my girls in bikinis, they're drinkin' Bellinis My phone's always ringing a melody Got that vintage t-shirt you were looking for And I'm thinner than I've ever been before Fridge is full of Corona's, I'm never alone 'cuz I don't wanna know who you're fallin' for I can live without "Right Now" on the album (it's a great song, but always felt more like a pop-rock Avril/Kelly/Pink track to me) but I hope we get justice for EBY.

I thought she said so in one of her TikTok comments, but maybe I'm wrong lol. She said something to the effect of "the label paid for that one in full" so maybe there was some red tape around re-recording it?

Some interesting tid-bits from her TikTok comments... 1) She sold her songwriter's catalogue! Was this common knowledge? That would mean she doesn't see any royalties from any of the Katy songs anymore. 2) Looks like a new single is coming later this month! She also mentioned in another comment that she's currently working on a new music video. 3) Apparently there was no title for the album back in 2013. Although I remember watching an interview with her back then where she said that she had a "few ideas" for the album title, so who knows. I guess she never made a definitive decision.

I totally agree with you on this lol. I'm sure it's a whole bop, but given the description it sounds more like a Drag Race challenge song, and like it'll be out of place on what is otherwise a capsule collection of dance-pop from 2013. I guess we'll see! As far as a list of songs we basically have confirmed from her RS article / TikTok comments (lol), I think it's: SLAY Forever 21 Hot City I Wanna Fucking Call You Jenny's Got a Boyfriend Don't Get Mad, Get Famous Electric Heaven Rewind Your Heart Snatched If the album is 14 or 15 songs that leaves space for 5 or 6 more. We know "Right Now" and "Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt" are out. Has she said anything about "Everything But You"? I'm pretty sure Max Martin was involved in that one too, right? 💰

Here's hoping Bonnie keeps the momentum going with this project! 🤞 The SLAY music video is inching closer to 150K views on YouTube, and the song should be over 70K streams on Spotify when the stats are updated today. She confirmed the album is coming "in the fall" in the Rolling Stone article, and has replied to TikTok comments saying she plans on releasing a few more singles over the course of the summer before the album drops. She also said she wants to shoot the next music video "soon" which is a little concerning, lol. Given what a perfectionist she is and how much effort went into the SLAY music video (not to mention the fact that she edited it herself) I don't imagine her throwing a music video together in a couple of weeks. Regardless I'd love to see "Forever 21" released at the end of July (the perfect summer bop 😍), "Rewind Your Heart" at the end of August (this song always gave me a reflective end of summer vibe), and the "Hot City" (with a killer music video) to coincide with the album release in September.
