After a short break from releasing music, Ashanti is back once again with her brand new single 'Never Should Have'!  Following the release of the minor flops 'The Woman You Love' with Busta Rhymes and 'That's What We Do' with R. Kelly, the  32 year-old singer has returned with a new, electr0-pop inspired sound that could just be the thing to renew her career. After several pushbacks, Ashanti's new album Braveheart is set to be released on June 4th. Will you be picking it up? What do you think of the new single? Let us know at the forums! Two new Skylar Grey songs have been released onto the internet! The first, 'Slowly Freaking Out', was officially released today as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming thriller The Host. Produced by frequent Grey collaborator Alex da Kid, the song is typical Skylar and we can see it fitting perfectly into her new album. The second song, 'Glow In Da Dark', was performed live by Grey at the SXSW festival recently. While we only have a good quality live version of the song, it's easy to tell what the song will sound like judging by Grey's sultry vocals and the percussive instruments in the background. Skylar's album Don't Look Down, is finished and awaiting a release later this year. Will you be picking up the album? Let us know over at the forums! Just minutes ago, Nicky Romero premiered his brand new single featuring Eva Simons - 'Circle of One'! While we only have the version that Romero played live during his set for SXM Radio in Miami, we can tell that this will be a total club banger. This is the second time the duo have worked together, following Romero's remix of Eva's amazing 'I Don't Like You' last year. What do you think of the song? Is it a surefire hit or will it flop just like some of Eva's past collaborations? Let us know over at the forums! Download: Nicky Romero - 'Circle of One (Feat. Eva Simons)'

Angie Miller, Candice Glover & Amber Holcomb Stun on 'Idol'!
Main Pop Girl posted an article in News
It was Beatle's Night a few days ago on American Idol, and for us there was no competition - the stand-out acts were definitely Angie, Candice and Amber (with an honourable mention going to the rather sweet Janelle). Angie brought soul and passion to the rock standard 'Yesterday', Candice rocked it out to 'Come Together', and Amber suprised us with a pretty beautiful rendition of 'She's Leaving Home' - the fact that she was in the bottom three was ridiculous! Check out the studio version's of the girl's songs below and head over to the forums to discuss your favourite performance of the night! The Saturdays have been teasing us recently with plenty of snippets, demo's and singles from the upcoming album The Chase! We decided to compile all the songs into one big megapost for you guys to enjoy. Have fun! 7. 'Not Giving Up On Love (LQ) (Snippet)' 'Not Giving Up On Love', sometimes referred to as 'Eyes Wide Open', is a song whose recording was documented during the girl's reality TV show, Chasing The Saturdays. Produced by Carl Ryden (David Guetta, Lolene), the song is a typical Sats affair, with euphoric production, a danceable beat and somewhat melancholy lyrics. We're not sure about this one yet, but judging from the snippet it could just turn out to be a huge hit! 6. 'Gentleman (LQ) (Snippet)' Another song we only have a snippet of, 'Gentleman' was again recorded for the camera's. We caught a glimpse of the girl's in the studio with Priscilla Renea (Madonna, Rihanna), on a recent episode prior to the song supposedly being announced as the second single. According to DigitalSpy, the song has been announced as the sophomore single from the group's upcoming American debut - however, with no official announcement from the girl's management yet, we can hold out hope that this is just a rumour. While we've only heard a demo version, we definitely think The Sats have a lot more to offer with this one! 5. 'You Don't Have The Right (Shontelle Demo)' 'You Don't Have The Right' was originally confirmed in a Tweet by the rather charming Diane Warren, whose penned hits for the likes of Beyoncé ('I Was Here') and Nicole Scherzinger ('Trust Me I Lie'). While we have yet to hear the girl's final version, a very rought demo of the song featuring Barbadian singer Shontelle leaked recently. We like what we hear with this one! 4. 'Turn Myself In' This might not technically be a brand new song. Hell, it might not even be technically confirmed for the album. First appearing as a b-side on the '30 Days' single, 'Turn Myself In', co-written by the girl's themselves, has since become something of a fan favourite. We can definitely see this as album material, although we don't think it would do all that well on the dance-infused radio right now. 3. 'Somebody Else's Life (Acoustic)' 'Somebody Else's Life' was first heard as the opening theme to Chasing the Saturdays, and since then it's become pretty highly anticipated. Always the group to stir the pot, the Sats then decided to release an acoustic version of the song as the b-side to 'What About Us'. All signs point to this being the second single from the album, and we're pretty happy with that! 2. '30 Days' '30 Days' was originally released last year as the first single off the group's then untitled upcoming album. Written by Autumn Rowe, the song sounds kind of like a leftover for the On Your Radar album, with dark, blaring synths and unified vocals by the girls. While the song's inclusion on the album is undetermined, we can definitely see this as an album track - even if we don't necessarily want it released as a worldwide single! 1. 'What About Us' And here we are! 'What About Us', aka the official song of the summer, is the second official single from the album and by far the best song we've heard so far. With some pretty killer vocals, the catchiest hook we've heard all year and a pointless rent-a-rapper who adds simply nothing to the track (Sean Paul), we simply don't see how this couldn't become a hit. It's fate! What do you think of The Saturdays new album? Do you like what you hear so far? Let us know over at our forums!

American Idol alumni Jessica Sanchez and hitmaker Ne-Yo are prepared to take over 'Tonight' with their brand new single! Following a rather epic performance of the song on Idol recently, the two have since released the song to iTunes and premiered a music video for the track. httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54nSydD9JqM The song is pretty much your typical Ne-Yo track, with decent vocals, a party-time message and a big anthemic chorus made for the clubs. Despite that, we kind of love it. The energy the two had during their Idol performance was pretty infectious, and the sight of Keith Urban bopping his head to a dance-pop song was pretty hilarious too. What do you guys think of the song? Will you be picking up Jessica's album? Let us know on our forums! Download: Jessica Sanchez - 'Tonight (Feat. Ne-Yo)'

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett To Start Recording New Album in June
Main Pop Girl posted an article in News
Tony Bennett has confirmed that while he and Lady Gaga "have it all worked out already on paper," they will not start recording their collaborative album until June of this year. Even though Gaga was forced to cancel several dates on her Born This Way Ball Tour recently, this has not put a stop to the pair's plans. "We're working on it from now until June, and then we'll record in June," said Bennett. "She's phenomenal. I get along great with her. She's looking forward to it and so am I." The dynamic duo have previously worked together on their version of 'The Lady Is A Tramp' from Bennett's Duets II album - however, this is the first collaborative album that Gaga has ever done. Bennett promises a "big swing album" full of songs by one particularly underrated, unnamed composer. Meanwhile, there's still no word on when Gaga's highly anticipated ARTPOP will be released, despite the fact that she is said to be "finishing" it at this very moment. Which album are you looking forward to more? Do you like the pair's previous collaboration? Let us know below! -
omg this is so sweet of you! so for every post you're giving $5 to charity? ugh this is why i love you bitch, you're so kind!

Dutch singer Eva Simons, best known for her work with artists such as Afrojack ('Take Over Control'), will.i.am ('This Is Love') and Chris Brown ('Pass Out'), is breaking out on her own with new single 'Chemistry'! The song, a total club banger and surefire hit for Simons, was recorded for her upcoming Pepsi campaign in The Netherlands, which in turn stems from her opening for Beyoncé in the country. "You and me got the chemistry," Simons sings over a spicy beat somewhat similiar to her previous single 'I Don't Like You'. What do you think of the song? Will it grant Eva a well-earned solo hit, or is she doomed to live with 'Silly Boy' forever? Let us know below! Download: Eva Simons - 'Chemistry'

Amanda Bynes wants Drake to murder her va-jay-jay
Main Pop Girl replied to trayertrash's topic in Entertainment News
I agree with you to some extent! Like when she pierced her cheeks and stuff, that just seemed so random. But I don't think she's sort of in her right mind when she's doing these things so I don't really blame her. -

It's confirmed! Not only will Ke$ha be performing her new single 'C'Mon' with Pitbull next week at the Kid's Choice Awards, but the duo will be heading on tour together this summer! The news was revealed via Twitter earlier today, when Pitbull spilled the beans on their KCA performance. You can view the conversation in it's entirety below: This isn't the first time the duo have collaborated. Back in 2009, Ke$ha was featured on Pitbull's song 'Girls' - which, if nothing else, coined the term "try-sexual". While there is no word on when and where the tour starts, we can assume from the extensive back catalogue of both artists that the tour will be co-headlining. What do you think of the announcement? Will you go and see the pair? Let us know below!

Sad news this Throwback Thursday – Girls Aloud are reportedly splitting up after ten years at the top! Rumours have been spreading about the group;s status ever since the announcement of their greatest hits album Ten, but the group seems to have made it official through a post on their Twitter account today: Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade. It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together. Love you lots. It’s unsure if the Girls are truly done for good, however. Several of the girls already declined the reports after Cheryl stated in her book that their time together was through. And, with an upcoming single release for ‘On the Metro’ planned, it does seem possible that the message was simply referring to the end of the tour. Either way, one thing’s for sure: Gods Aloud has a lot of hits! We’ve complied a list of their top five songs for old time’s sake. 5. ‘On the Metro’ The Girls’ next single (and possibly their last) also happens to be one of their best. With lyrics from the incredible Nicola Roberts and production courtesy of DJ Fresh and The Invisible Men, ‘On the Metro’ is by far the most danceable song in the group’s catalogue, and is a perfect reintroduction of the group to a brand new pop listener. The only thing that confuses us about this song is why it was skipped over as a second single in exchange for the rather bland ‘Beautiful Cause You Love Me’. 4. ‘Sound of the Underground’ The Girls’ first ever single following their successful entry in Popstars: The Rivals, ‘Sound of the Underground’ remains one of their best songs. While it may not be as current as it once was, the drums are strangely reminiscent of drum and bass, and the chorus is as catchy as ever. 3. ‘Something New’ Released last year, ‘Something New’ doubled as the group’s official comeback single as well as the official single for Children in Need 2012. Backed by synth-laden production, some intense rapping from the girls and a rather catchy hook, the song made a perfect comeback single despite it’s somewhat disappointing standing on the charts. Flawless! 2. ‘Sexy! No No No…’ Think back to 2007. The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits had just been released, and amidst rumours of a potential break-up, a new single was announced. ‘Sexy’ was the group’s triumphant comeback, an electro-pop song actually composed of three different songs that the girl’s had recorded seperately. Accompanied by one of the best tour opening’s in history, ‘Sexy’ sounds just as interesting and forward-thinking today as it did six years ago. And let’s not get started on Nadine’s vocals! 1. ‘Love Machine’ And here we are! Undoubtedly the girl’s strangest song, ‘Love Machine’ also happens to be one of the catchiest. With lines like “let’s go, eskimo” and “we’re gift wrapped kitty cat’s”, how can you not like this song? Produced by Xenomania, the song has become a standard for the group and continues to be flawless almost ten years later. Besides, it was once voted the second “most exhilarating” song ever. How cool is that! And there you have it! As sad as it is that the group might be coming to an end, fan’s can rest assured that the songs they’ve loved in the past will remain just as brilliant and groundbreaking ten years on. How do you feel about the break-up? Did we get it right with our top five list? Let us know below! [/html]
