Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett To Start Recording New Album in June
Main Pop Girl posted an article in News
Tony Bennett has confirmed that while he and Lady Gaga "have it all worked out already on paper," they will not start recording their collaborative album until June of this year. Even though Gaga was forced to cancel several dates on her Born This Way Ball Tour recently, this has not put a stop to the pair's plans. "We're working on it from now until June, and then we'll record in June," said Bennett. "She's phenomenal. I get along great with her. She's looking forward to it and so am I." The dynamic duo have previously worked together on their version of 'The Lady Is A Tramp' from Bennett's Duets II album - however, this is the first collaborative album that Gaga has ever done. Bennett promises a "big swing album" full of songs by one particularly underrated, unnamed composer. Meanwhile, there's still no word on when Gaga's highly anticipated ARTPOP will be released, despite the fact that she is said to be "finishing" it at this very moment. Which album are you looking forward to more? Do you like the pair's previous collaboration? Let us know below! -
omg this is so sweet of you! so for every post you're giving $5 to charity? ugh this is why i love you bitch, you're so kind!

Dutch singer Eva Simons, best known for her work with artists such as Afrojack ('Take Over Control'), will.i.am ('This Is Love') and Chris Brown ('Pass Out'), is breaking out on her own with new single 'Chemistry'! The song, a total club banger and surefire hit for Simons, was recorded for her upcoming Pepsi campaign in The Netherlands, which in turn stems from her opening for Beyoncé in the country. "You and me got the chemistry," Simons sings over a spicy beat somewhat similiar to her previous single 'I Don't Like You'. What do you think of the song? Will it grant Eva a well-earned solo hit, or is she doomed to live with 'Silly Boy' forever? Let us know below! Download: Eva Simons - 'Chemistry'

Amanda Bynes wants Drake to murder her va-jay-jay

I agree with you to some extent! Like when she pierced her cheeks and stuff, that just seemed so random. But I don't think she's sort of in her right mind when she's doing these things so I don't really blame her. -

It's confirmed! Not only will Ke$ha be performing her new single 'C'Mon' with Pitbull next week at the Kid's Choice Awards, but the duo will be heading on tour together this summer! The news was revealed via Twitter earlier today, when Pitbull spilled the beans on their KCA performance. You can view the conversation in it's entirety below: This isn't the first time the duo have collaborated. Back in 2009, Ke$ha was featured on Pitbull's song 'Girls' - which, if nothing else, coined the term "try-sexual". While there is no word on when and where the tour starts, we can assume from the extensive back catalogue of both artists that the tour will be co-headlining. What do you think of the announcement? Will you go and see the pair? Let us know below!

Sad news this Throwback Thursday – Girls Aloud are reportedly splitting up after ten years at the top! Rumours have been spreading about the group;s status ever since the announcement of their greatest hits album Ten, but the group seems to have made it official through a post on their Twitter account today: Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts Thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade. It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together. Love you lots. It’s unsure if the Girls are truly done for good, however. Several of the girls already declined the reports after Cheryl stated in her book that their time together was through. And, with an upcoming single release for ‘On the Metro’ planned, it does seem possible that the message was simply referring to the end of the tour. Either way, one thing’s for sure: Gods Aloud has a lot of hits! We’ve complied a list of their top five songs for old time’s sake. 5. ‘On the Metro’ The Girls’ next single (and possibly their last) also happens to be one of their best. With lyrics from the incredible Nicola Roberts and production courtesy of DJ Fresh and The Invisible Men, ‘On the Metro’ is by far the most danceable song in the group’s catalogue, and is a perfect reintroduction of the group to a brand new pop listener. The only thing that confuses us about this song is why it was skipped over as a second single in exchange for the rather bland ‘Beautiful Cause You Love Me’. 4. ‘Sound of the Underground’ The Girls’ first ever single following their successful entry in Popstars: The Rivals, ‘Sound of the Underground’ remains one of their best songs. While it may not be as current as it once was, the drums are strangely reminiscent of drum and bass, and the chorus is as catchy as ever. 3. ‘Something New’ Released last year, ‘Something New’ doubled as the group’s official comeback single as well as the official single for Children in Need 2012. Backed by synth-laden production, some intense rapping from the girls and a rather catchy hook, the song made a perfect comeback single despite it’s somewhat disappointing standing on the charts. Flawless! 2. ‘Sexy! No No No…’ Think back to 2007. The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits had just been released, and amidst rumours of a potential break-up, a new single was announced. ‘Sexy’ was the group’s triumphant comeback, an electro-pop song actually composed of three different songs that the girl’s had recorded seperately. Accompanied by one of the best tour opening’s in history, ‘Sexy’ sounds just as interesting and forward-thinking today as it did six years ago. And let’s not get started on Nadine’s vocals! 1. ‘Love Machine’ And here we are! Undoubtedly the girl’s strangest song, ‘Love Machine’ also happens to be one of the catchiest. With lines like “let’s go, eskimo” and “we’re gift wrapped kitty cat’s”, how can you not like this song? Produced by Xenomania, the song has become a standard for the group and continues to be flawless almost ten years later. Besides, it was once voted the second “most exhilarating” song ever. How cool is that! And there you have it! As sad as it is that the group might be coming to an end, fan’s can rest assured that the songs they’ve loved in the past will remain just as brilliant and groundbreaking ten years on. How do you feel about the break-up? Did we get it right with our top five list? Let us know below!
-
i heard this too but if it's true then gaga will come back stronger and better than ever for ARTPOP!

Totally agreed! Fergie is incredibly talented, and so underused in The Black Eyed Peas. I can't wait to hear her solo stuff again!

A new song by budding superstar A*M*E has leaked! The song, 'By Your Side', shows the English singer showing off her impressive vocals over a fun, Euro-pop beat. Lyrically, the song speaks about sticking by a friend no matter what relationship drama they're going through. What do you think of the song? Will A*M*E make it big? Let us know below! Fergie is a busy woman these days. Along with her pregnancy with her and Josh Duhamel's first child, The Dutchess has officially confirmed today that she is readying her second studio album! Writing in a blog post for NYTimes, Fergie described her outfit for the day before alluding to her new music. "I was very businesslike in Tom Ford eyeglasses, a D&G black blazer, Stella McCartney pencil skirt and a button-down shirt. I also tied on a beige Alexander McQueen tie with little skulls and wore my Olivia pumps in black. Later headed home to work on music. I wrote in a Missoni caftan dress. I love to feel bohemian when I’m writing music. You could say I have some things up my caftan sleeve." While we have little information about a potential release date for the project, Fergie did recently mention that we would hopefully be hearing new music this year, despite refusing to comment on the album's sound or themes. Meanwhile, rumours are spreading that Fergie may be leaving The Black Eyed Peas temporarily. According to Perez Hilton, The Peas are looking for a new lead singer to replace Ferg while she has her baby and works on solo material. However, with will.i.am poised to release his own solo album in the next month, we don't find this rumour very likely. Were you a fan of The Dutchess, and will you be looking forward to Fergie's new album? Let us know below!

While her latest booking may have taken place today, Lindsay Lohan is no stranger to the lens of a dirty, grimy, mughsot camera. In fact, with five mugshots taken over the past six years (and no doubt a few more to come in the future), she almost has an entire coffee table book’s worth. We take a look back at the best and worst of her mugshots after the jump. July 24, 2007 The original and still one of the best. Lindsay had this photo taken after being arrested for drunk driving and cocaine possession just before her eventual release on $25 000 bail. The starlet channels her inner Lolita in this photo, with wide blue eyes and innocent parted lips that will no doubt come in handy when her female inmate  Razor takes a liking to her. November 15, 2007 Lindsay was sent to Lynwood following two drink driving arrests in only two months. How much tequila has Lindsay had in this photo? Nobody knows. How much tequila does Lindsay look like she’s had in this photo? None. #OnlyABadBitch July 20, 2010 Li-Lo received 90 days behind bars in 2010 after finally being convicted of her drug and alcohol charges from way back in 2007. One of the things we love about this picture is how she manages to convey so many feelings in only one expression: we sense worry, anger, sarcasm, sluttiness and just a tiny hint of “Really bitch? Really?”. October 19, 2011 This is where things started to really go wrong. HD photography can be a bitch, and Lindsay found it out in 2011 after being arrested for probation violations. Luckily, Lindsay herself was only the bitch for a short while before being released on $100 000 bail. March 18, 2013 Praise Godga! Lindsay bounces back from her Dark Ages here with a comeback of magnificent proportions. She may be headed to jail, but bitch is gonna do it with style. The hair is sleek and sophisticated; the skin is clear and perfectly contoured; and the smirk has been completely perfected. Luckily, Lindsay won’t last long behind bars: she turned herself in and was arrested only as a formality after being charged for giving false information to a police officer and reckless driving back in 2012. Considering how long her legal woes seem to have been going on for, it seems strange that Lindsay has only actually been arrested twice. It also seems strange that the girl hasn’t managed to figure out that she should hire a chauffeur and just quit driving full stop. Which of Lindsay’s mugshots is your favourite? Is it the innocent child star from way back in 2007, or the world-weary bad bitch from this month? Let us know in the comments below!
Eight new songs from 78Violet (the new project from former Disney stars Aly & AJ) have leaked! The songs were all recorded during sessions for their upcoming third studio album, and were created from between 2009 to 2011 while the group was still under Hollywood Records. Inspired by artists such as P!nk and Kelly Clarkson, the songs are pure pop-rock with an impressive list of collaborators including Dreamlab, Butch Walker, Matt Squire, Mike Elizondo and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer fame. This won't be the last we hear of 78Violet - their new single 'Hothouse' is expected in the next few weeks on their new indie label Violet House Productions. What do you think of the songs? Are you dissapointed their album with Hollywood Records was never released? Let us know below! Download: 78Violet - Eight New Songs

Skylar Grey has fallen victim to yet another leak. The sultry songstress has recently recorded a song called 'Clear Blue Sky' for her upcoming debut album: a track which leaked today. The track is typical Grey, combining hip-hop beats with rock instrumentation and soft pop vocals. It features Grey pining to get over a failed relationship, saying that all she "can hear is thunder, under this clear blue sky". What do you think of the song? Should Grey stick to her piano ballads or do you prefer her more up-tempo songs? Let us know below! Download: Skylar Grey - 'Clear Blue Sky'

Mutya Keisha Siobhan, the much-hyped girl group consisting of the three original (and best!) members of the Sugababes, have released their first official studio song since their formation! As their first song in over ten years, the comeback obviously has a lot of excitement over it. However, 'Lay Down In Swimming Pools', which has been confirmed will not be on their upcoming album, certainly delivers! Created in some free time after the group's last session with producer Blood Orange, the song heavily samples 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' by newcomer Kendrick Lamar, turning the straight hip-hop tune into an R&B slow jam. While the song isn't meant to be on the album, we still hope that this is a pretty good indication of what's to come! Would you be happy with more songs like this from the group? Let us know below! oooh fair enough then! i just realised, i think the reason they keep cutting off mariah and ryan is because in my country the show isn't aired live and it's all condensed into one two hour show. so that makes more sense now! i also reaaaaallly like amber after her latest performance, but i have to say that candice blew it out of the fucking park! she sounded and looked amazing last night and totally gave me hope for the rest of the competition! i'm watching the results now so i'll let you know what i think

omg it's been given a new name
