#FreeKesha petition has reached 75K signatures
Main Pop Girl replied to Kesha's topic in Entertainment News
The reason FreeKeshaLuke worked as well was because they offered a list of unreleased songs which got them good promo. I feel like most people won't hear about this one without the tracks. -
#FreeKesha petition has reached 75K signatures

They should just stick with one petition and try to get as many signatures for it as possible instead of creating a million different ones and confusing people. -
2015 has been the best year for celebrity catfights that we've had in the past decade. Between Katy and Taylor, Taylor and Nicki and Nicki and Miley, we've seen our fair share of heated debates and nasty retorts; and while Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson may have switched things up somewhat, most of these tabloid trashings were between females. Caitlyn Jenner and Rose McGowan are the participants in this week's celebrity catfight, which stems this time around a controversial speech that Jenner made at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards last week, and which McGowan responded to yesterday via a Facebook post that she later deleted. Speaking at the awards show which celebrates powerful women, Jenner made waves when she allegedly said that "the hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear". It should be noted, however, that Jenner appeared to contradict herself in the very same speech, when she stated: Perhaps McGowan only read the headline, or maybe she thought that Caitlyn was simply trying to backtrack - either way, the Charmed actress took to Facebook to post, and later delete, her own fiery reaction to the speech, which she found to belittle and diminish the hardships of the female experience. She later justified her comments somewhat with another post, this time on Twitter. What's more saddening is the fact that McGowan's post sparked a string of transphobic comments online. Missy Fields stated that "All I have to say is a lot more people deserved this award than Bruce, Caitlin Jenner. He makes me sick," while Mary Dodge said "I think it's insulting to all women especially to the hero in New York. Come on he is a man not a woman and never will be...he should return the award!" Dodge was referring here to the NYPD police officer Moira Smith, who was posthumously given the same award way back in 2001 for helping evacuate people from the World Trade Center during 9/11. Her husband at the time, James Smith, returned the award to Glamour this week, saying that choosing Jenner as the latest recipient of the award was insulting to his wife's memory. "Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world, more deserving than this man?" Smith asked in a public Facebook post alongside an image of the trophy. It's interesting that when Britney Spears earned the same award in 2003, Smith was content, even though to my knowledge Spears has never worked as a volunteer firegither. Admittedly, Jenner's comments may have been poorly thought out or expressed badly - although without a video of the speech, we still don't really know if what she said was in jest, which sounds plausible given her later remarks. But McGowan's post it itself is hugely insensitive to the plights of Jenner and the trans community in general. Her claim that Jenner only "wants to be a woman", when the reality star has made it clear that she in fact is a woman and prefers to be referred to as such, reeks of transphobic nonsense; and her claim that Jenner, who has struggled with presenting as a different gender to the world than she truly is for several decades, is a beneficiary of "male privilege" seems in itself hugely dismissive of how difficult that must have been for Jenner. She also completely overlooks the fact that Jenner has been very open in both her public interviews and reality show about her own sexual awakening and that she is still figuring out what being a woman truly means to her; as well as that she's still learning about how to be a responsible member of the feminist and trans communities. At this point, we really expect transphobic abuse to be hurled at public figures like Jenner when it comes to online comment sections on Entertainment Weekly. But it's disappointing to see such a high-profile entertainer like McGowan, who has claimed time and time again that she is an ally of the LGBT community, to stoop to almost the same level. That said, only a few months ago McGowan announced that she would quit acting to focus on her new music career. Maybe all this feud means is that a McGowan and Jenner-helmed sequel to 'Bad Blood' is dropping next week.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/AkSrWs-RAmw Idk if y'all remember, but Kristen Stewart got kicked out of this movie after she fucked the director. Still don't know why he got to stay but she left...The plot of this sounds stupid and like a total Frozen rip-off, but the cast is so stellar that I'll probably enjoy it anyway.

Lana Del Rey's Scrapped Zoo Magazine Photoshoot

I'm pretty sure the issue and photos were actually released, it's just that no one cared enough about the magazine at that time to notice. -

An interview on Tuesday's episode of Today will allegedly confirm that Charlie Sheen is HIV positive. According to TMZ, the actor is set to sit down with reporter Matt Lauer to make the announcement. This comes just days after NBC confirmed that Sheen would be making a "revealing personal announcement" on Tuesday's show. The news was leaked on Monday when a report was released saying that Sheen had been keeping his HIV status hidden for more than two years. According to TMZ, Sheen has been taking medication daily in order to make the disease undetectable. This means that the actor has likely undergone antiretroviral therapy, which will have reduced the likelihood of transmitting the virus to anyone else by 96% - however, it does not completely eliminate the chance of infecting anyone else. HIV is famous in it's lack of an easily accessible cure, although steps have been made in stem cell therapies which have cured certain test subjects. According to TMZ, Sheen feels that he has done nothing wrong by not informing the public or any of his sexual partners of his HIV status due to this undetectable nature, despite the fact that this is against doctor recommendations. However, Sheen's family, including his ex-wife Denise Richards and a large portion of Hollywood socialites did allegedly know about Sheen's illness. Adult film star Bree Olson, whom Sheen called a "goddess" when they famously dated in 2011, has already denied that she has the virus. Supposedly, Sheen contracted the virus while dating Olson and as he slept unprotected with numerous women, while he was simultaneously injecting drugs intravenously. In fact, Sheen's famous mental breakdown, when he claimed to be a "warlock" with "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA", was apparently triggered by his realisation that he had contracted the virus. While Sheen's failure to inform his sexual partners of the virus may be problematic, and we certainly don't wish HIV on anyone, we can't help but be happy that such a high-profile celebrity is coming clean about their status. We're hoping that Sheen's fame will help to banish some of the stigma that remains around the disease once and for good!

This is someone who was in a car that was driving at over double the speed limit at 100 miles per hour. Good on the daughter for trying to get her cash, but this lawsuit is ridiculous and I have no sympathy or sadness for someone who was clearly enjoying the adrenaline.

Words are a funny thing. We spend so much time trapped inside the prisons of our own minds that when we go to share our thoughts with others, we often feel as though our carefully curated words fall short of the meaning they're designed to carry. We overthink, we hold our tongue, we hit backspace, and we discard what's on our mind from fear of judgement. But the imprint of these unspoken words remains behind, scratching at us like grains of sand left over from a day at the beach. It's these leftover phrases that haunt and inspire the Ontario-based quartet Glass Face. Layered by the ethereal harmony of Amelia Fraser on vocals, Cole Sefton on guitar, Dylan King on keyboard, and Rowan Grice on drums, the band has been working together for over a year now, treading the line between organically developed musicianship and electronic enhancement with masterful expertise. With each member a classically trained musician in their own right, it's not surprising that such a fusion of talents would lead to a productive and cathartic release of unspoken moments. What might have been unexpected was how many people around the world connected with them. After a high profile placement of their haunting dreamscape of a debut single, 'Holland', on MTV's hit TV show Teen Wolf, the track was propelled forward to become one of the most popular songs on Shazam for that week as viewers scurried to their phones to find the faces behind the genius. Since then, the song has only grown in popularity, accruing over 250 000 streams worldwide. Now the band is moving on to their most ambitious project yet. After a surge of online buzz from blogs such as CBC and HillyDilly, the band has released their technodelic video for their cover of song of the moment, Drake's 'Hotline Bling'. Included in the video is a toll-free number, which when dialed will give some clues to their debut EP and invite you to leave a message for the band. And with EP You Are Nowhere scheduled for release on Christmas Day, all those thoughts they kept to themselves for so long are about to be set free. Words can't always express our thoughts, but music can. Bite your lip or sing your lungs out: Glass Face has you covered. Download Glass Face's cover of 'Hotline Bling' for free on their Soundcloud, and call their toll free number on 1-844-401-5638 to chat with the band.

Speaking on national television earlier Saturday, President Francois Hollande called Friday’s attacks an “an act of war … prepared and planned from the outside, with accomplices inside.” He said France’s response will be “merciless against the terrorists.” Hollandedeclared three days of mourning for the victims, as France announced a series of security measure in the wake of the attacks, including the indefinite closing of the Eiffel Tower. On Friday, as the attacks were unfolding and the scale of the carnage unclear, Hollande declared a nationwide state of emergency. The attacks are the worst violence on French soil since World War II, and the worst in Europe since 2004 when coordinated blasts on Madrid’s commuter train system killed 191 people. The attacks also came 10 months after two Islamist gunmen killed 11 people at the offices of the Paris-based Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical magazine. Several attacks around Paris that followed the Charlie Hebdo massacre killed an additional five people. France was already on high alert following those attacks when the events of Friday night unfolded. There were attacks on two restaurants in the 10tharrondissement (at least 12 dead in gun attacks) and two on restaurants in the 11th arrondissement (at least 24 dead). The national stadium, where France was playing Germany in a soccer match, was also attacked (at least three attackers dead), as was the Bataclan concert venue, which was packed with fans of Eagles of Death Metal, a rock band from California (at least 80 dead). According to L’Express, Hollande was in attendance, but was moved to safety. I really don't mean to sound cunty when I say this, but am I the only one who's not really that upset over this? I mean, the US and the rest of the western world are commissioning drone strikes and killing hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in the Arab world, and getting no recourse. But when just over a hundred people die in France it's suddenly the biggest deal in the world?

We're dangerously close to the end of the year, and as most normal people start to consider Christmas presents and family vacations, pop music lovers are getting ready for another big event in their calendars: mash-up season. First triggered by DJ Earworm way back in 2009 with his hit-filled track 'United States of Pop', epic end of year mash-ups have basically become a tradition in the pop world and are now something fans can look forward to every year, with the biggest recieving millions of views and extensive radio play. First started in 2010 by Daniel Kim, 'Pop Danthology' is one such mashup which often jams in dozens of your favourite pop songs to make a cohesive, danceable track. For the first time, 2015's 'Pop Danthology' is split into two parts a decision Kim says was dictated by the fact that "it has become increasingly more challenging to satisfy my fans and fit in all of their many favourite songs in my year-end mashup". Part one is just over four minutes long and features an impressive 45 songs, ranging from tracks by pop starlets such as Demi Lovato's 'Cool For The Summer', Hilary Duff's 'Sparks', Kelly Clarkson's 'Heartbeat Song' to sleeper hits like 'Fetty Wap's 'Trap Queen', Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber's 'Where Are U Now', Maroon 5's 'Sugar', and Zedd and Selena Gomez's 'I Want You To Know'. Meanwhile, part two clocks in at just over five minutes, featuring a grand total of 37 songs including Adele's 'Hello', Ariana Grande's 'Focus', Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea's 'Pretty Girls', Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', Major Lazer, DJ Snake, and MO's 'Lean On', Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money', Selena Gomez and A$AP Rocky's 'Good For You', Silento's 'Watch Me', Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar's 'Bad Blood' and The Weeknd's 'Can’t Feel My Face'. What do you guys think? Will you be playing this track at your Thanksgiving dinners, or are the originals always the best? Let us know in the comments down below!

In anticipation of his upcoming release for new album Purpose in just three days, Justin Bieber appeared on Ellen today - and dropped a few bombshells regarding the inspiration behind his new album: Selena Gomez! Admitting that he isn't entirely over the popstar, Bieber admitted that he was open to reuniting with Selena, saying that they could "possibly" get back together in the future to be the "awesome duo" they used to be. “I think we are both on our own journeys of figuring ourselves out,” Justin said. “I think maybe once we figure ourselves out we can come together and make an awesome duo or she’ll find someone awesome and I’ll find someone awesome. I just want her to be happy, honestly.” We wonder if Selena gets any say in that? After Ellen pushed him for information regarding the new album, Justin confirmed that three songs off the album were inspired by the Jelena breakup: lead single 'What Do You Mean', new single 'Sorry', and opening track 'Mark My Words'. The first two were pretty obvious given their lyrical content ("First you wanna go to the left then you wanna turn right, Wanna argue all day, make love all night"), but we'll have to wait until November 13th to check out 'Mark My Words'. Not discussed was the recently surfaced track 'Strong', which finds Justin and Selena professing their love for each other over a slow jam beat. First leaked after it was played on Drake's OVO Radio a few weeks back, there's been confusion over when the song was recorded - but some anonymous sources claim that it was recorded over three years ago and was never intended to be featured on an album. What do you guys think? Should Jelena stay together forever, or is their relationship only good for writing inspiration? Let us know in the comments down below!

Fourteen Times Maggie Smith Described The College Experience Accurately
Main Pop Girl posted an article in Opinions
Everyone loves Downton Abbey’s best character, the Dowager Countess Lady Violet Crawley (aka Professor McGonagall, aka Dame Maggie Smith, aka Queen of the Universe). But with all those crazy hats, amazing outfits and ridiculous burns (remember when she said that a true Englishman would never have dreamed of dying in someone else’s house? ) you might not have realised that she’s just like the average college student. Need proof? Read on to find out how! When you have a 9am tutorial. When you realise you have an assignment due on Monday… But your course co-ordinator won’t approve an extension. Is that even legal? When Turnitin decides not to accept your assignment with one minute to go. When you've come up with a ridiculous thesis statement, but you're studying Visual Arts so it doesn't even matter. Literally, there are no wrong answers for that subject. When you're paired up with your friend for a group assignment... But the school stoner is in your group as well... So you take their name off the assignment before you hand it in. When that one student tries to argue that everything you're saying is racist... Can’t we just move on so I can get home quicker? And then homophobic... And then sexist... Until your tutor sticks up for you. When it's finally time to go home... But there's still time for a late afternoon turn up. Or, you know, whatever else you can get up to with a wild man inside you. -
Of course! I can't not include the kings of wrock, The Basilisk in Your Pasta.

The fourth quarter of 2015 is coming up, where fans are tested, stans are made and artists careers can change forever! Like we do every year, I thought we'd set up a predictions thread for Q4 2015 so we can all discuss what we think's gonna happen and the dreams we hope will come true for the last few months of the year. Overall, I think we're gonna have a pretty boring end to the year honestly. I can see Justin's album doing well but I don't think he'll have any commercial success after 'Where Are U Now', and despite popular belief I really don't think Adele's album will manage to make waves like her last one did. On the other hand, I think both Selena and Demi will have relatively successful singles that both go top ten. As much as I'd love to say that Janet and Kylie will both dominate the charts, I think they're both doomed to have unsuccessful eras, although I think Janet will make a lot of touring. As for Rihanna, I still don't think we're gonna get ANTI. That whole album release is a mess and I honestly think she's gonna scrap the entire project and come up with something new to release next year. I'm happy to be proven wrong tho Rih.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

He covered Entertainment Weekly recently and a few more details about the plot were released! I love how much work she's put into this script! Instead of muggle we get "nomaj", and instead of the Ministry for Magic we get the Magical Congress of the United States of America. This sounds so promising and I can't wait to watch it! -
Rebel Wilson has revealed today that she was offered the chance to work with the youngest two members of the Kardashian Klan, but turned it down. Speaking to Australia's Kyle & Jackie O on their radio station earlier today, the Pitch Perfect star revealed that she was asked by MTV to present an award at their annual Video Music Awards ceremony alongside Kendall and Kylie, but turned it down due to her dislike of the family. “I was asked to present at the latest VMAs with Kendall and Kylie and said no,” Rebel stated while live on air. “I said I’d do it myself. What they stand for is totally against what I stand for.” But Wilson wasn't happy to stop at dragging the Jenner sisters, going on to discredit Kim's rise to popularity. “They seem a bit superficial and their careers aren’t really based on talent,” she said. “I know they’re super popular, but I’m all about personality and working hard to get to where I am. How Kim Kardashian got famous from the sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard.” Kind of ironic for a woman who's based her entire career on her weight and a scandal where she lied about her age, right? What do you think about Wilson's comments? Should we commend her for taking the moral highground, or is the woman famous for popularising 'Fat Amy' on the list of 2013 baby names hypocritical for dissing the Kardashian sisters? Let us know in the comments down below!

So I'm having a porn star Harry Potter birthday party in a couple of weeks from now and you're all invited to come! Just make your way to Australia and once you're here I'll text you the address. I have pretty much everything sorted but the one thing I'm freaking out about is the music. I always feel so judged when I play my poppy faves out loud for all my friends so I'm looking for some tracks that are fun and a good blend of dance and pop. Any remixes of top forty hits would also work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Omg, I completely forgot about him. He's still alive somewhere, right? So he could be one of the Red Devils, if there's multiple of them.

That just got me SO fucking hungry, omfg. We used to have a pretzel chain in Australia but it closed down and now you can't find them anywhere.
