  1. The struggles of being a Fifth Legendony fan.
  2. She by Sheree is not happy with this characterization.
  3. This is such a sad situation. It's a good reminder that gun violence isn't the only kind of terrorism out there. I hope everyone there is staying strong.
  4. But what I'm saying is no one should be excluded from the conversation to begin with. Allowing only a group of people to have a conversation about a certain thing, especially when it's something so silly as someone's gender, is inherently making it exclusive and it's also going to only allow for a very small and specific range of views. Obviously if someone's jumping in to try and discredit someone else's experience like what you're saying, or if someone's interrupting or belittling someone and not allowing them to finish their statement, that's just being a cunt. But as long as people are respectful of what others have to say, I see no reason why anyone can't speak in a conversation about rape regardless of their race, sexuality, gender or any other variable which we've decided is useful in labelling people. I guess for me what it comes down to is: if you're going to be an asshole, don't speak. But don't not speak because of something so silly as your gender expression.
  5. I don't think that by discussing multiple sides of an issue you have to set aside certain times to do it tho. For example, in less than a paragraph in your last post you just discussed men being raped and women being raped, and the differences and similarities between them, incredibly eloquently! You didn't have to make one thread for us to exclusively discuss rape when it comes to women, and another thread for us to exclusively discuss rape when it comes to men. As you suggested, the two genders society accepts are so intrinsically interwoven and defined by each other that it would be impossible to do that. In this thread, we've had a discussion of rape that's pretty gender neutral and inclusive of everybody's opinion and story, but that still highlights the ways in which experiences differ. It's really not hard to do, and I think it's the best way of trying to dispel this strangely competitive battle of the sexes situation that's occurring when it comes to these kinds of issues. It's a way to understand difference while still appreciating that everyone is going through a similar struggle and no one is in it alone.
  6. I actually completely disagree with what you said tbh. I think that when it comes to both gender and race relations in the present climate, we tend to have this very competitive atmosphere where we're setting up dichotomies against each other - male vs. female or black vs. white. Instead of having seperate discussions about issues that we're perceiving as seperate, I think it would be a lot more prudent to instead expand existing discussions and look at the issues that everyone is facing. Apart from minor physical differences, there is no difference between the emotional toll that a man faces when raped and a woman faces when raped - apart from maybe the societal influence which you discussed. If we could come together over the issues that both sides see as problematic, we would do a lot more good and make a lot more social change as opposed to if we just continue this pointless banter of "oh, my gender has it worse than yours because of a, b and c". We shouldn't think of the issue of rape as "female rape" vs "male rape", because that's always going to exclude people from the discussion. We should just look at the issue as rape. Rape is disgusting regardless of who it happens to and instead of specifying times to discuss specific genders, we should open the floor to males, females, and very importantly, everyone in between who would be ignored and silenced by discussions focusing on just one gender.
  7. That's really fucked up for him to be fucking other girls in their own home...Whatever, she's better without him and now hopefully she'll get a couple of breakup tunes out of it.
  8. There's a little too much negative space in the second one for my taste, but the first one...
  9. She looks SO beautiful in all of these photos.
  10. How do you know that he doesn't just have a severe case of vitiligo? Your racial assumptions are disgusting, prejudiced and now ablist as well.
  11. I agree. Cultural appropriation doesn't exist, because culture doesn't exist. We're all just one big happy family who emigrated from Africa to random ass countries thousands of years ago and I don't give a fuck what happened from there onwards.
  12. Hew?
  13. I don't think we even have Sriracha here. But that sounds good, I'm gonna try it! I don't have a recipe for it, but I made a mushroom and truffle oil risotto a few weeks ago which was delicious.
  14. Stan the PHF mixtape tho!
  15. Why was she covered in bandages? Liposuction?
  16. Only if you change yours to Harper Finkle. Cheryl Payne would actually be kinda cute. But she needs to either settle down with one dude or just stick with Cheryl and scratch the last name all together. But omg, I don't remember that at all! Maybe I should revert back to that, it must be easier for people.
  17. Oooh okay, I'm gonna have to watch Resurrection now! Did you watch the Directors Cut of Alien 3? Apparently it's a lot better than what was shown in cinemas, although I think the studio still made a lot of changes which weren't great for the movie. I'm excited for the new one tho, they just need to hurry up and film it before we see Ripley on a walking stick.
  18. I wouldn't say it's making headlines, but it's definitely earning her a 100 word column at the bottom of page 22!
  19. You've had two years to write your rap and you still haven't done shit. Don't start. Thank you!
  20. I think it's possible to do both! It's just that we don't often hear about Nicki's more personal songs, like 'Autobiography' where she talks about her abortion or 'We Miss You' where she's rapping about her dead cousin.
  21. Hit! Bebe Rexha & Bibi Bourelly - BB (Bad Bitches)
  22. That's Cheryl Fernandez-Versini to you, bitch. I've changed my name maybe once a year since I started? I think my first name was Jump Rope Queen after Lana's song, then it was Firestarter after the Samantha Jade song (), H.B.I.C. for Queen New York, and now Countess for Gaga and Maggie Smith. But now that AHS and Downton Abbey have both ended I think I'll need to change it soon.
