This is a joke, right? I feel so bad for that girl...

Hey you guys! I just wanted to make this topic quickly to apologise for not being as active on PHF lately as I'd like to be. There's been a lot going on in my personal life for the past few months and I've been kind of overwhelmed and a bit depressed about things and finding it kind of hard to get out of bed some days. I know that some of you guys have been upset that I haven't been on here as much as I should, and I know that y'all deserve better from your admin so I wanted to make this thread to explain myself. A few months ago I started doing an acting course, and I hated it from the get-go. It was disappointing because I thought I could make good friends there, but I felt as though I didn't fit in at all and was left out of the group every time. Towards the end of the course I was super sick for a few weeks and I'm still recovering from that flu now. At the same time, my cat passed away which I know is kind of a silly thing to be upset about but I was super sad about it for a little while. So I ended up quitting the course, which I would have done anyway but I still felt like a bit of a failure for leaving early. Around the same time, I had a lot of family issues going on with my grandma being in the hospital a lot, my brother posting statuses on Facebook about suicide and my parents fighting. Most of it is sorted now but it was stressful for a while. For the past few weeks I've also been making CBB recaps on YouTube which is taking up a huge amount of my time. It's fun to work on and I've made lots of great new friends and subscribers from it, but it's difficult to keep up with and some of the hate comments have been really getting to me. Yesterday I didn't even want to get out of bed because I knew I'd have a bunch of mean commenters to have to respond to and I really had to push myself to keep going. Overall it's just been really getting me down but I feel as though I have to continue with it, I guess cos I want to prove to myself that I'm not a failure like my acting course suggested. One of the places that I found some peace was here on PHF. I know that I haven't been posting too much over the past few weeks, but listening to all this amazing new music (slay us Kesha!) and reading all of your opinions has honestly brought me so much joy and it's nice to have such positive, beautiful friends online. I want to say thank you to each of you who's been posting lately for giving me something to enjoy. Over the next week I'm going to be continuing to update PHF to make it more streamlined and beautiful. I'll choose a new MOTM and send out a newsletter which I know we haven't done in a while! I've also set up a new social media promotion function with @Tweener so we'll be trying to get new members on the site and making it more active than it has been for the past few weeks, because I know the topics haven't been coming as commonly lately. I hope you guys help out by posting anywhere that interests you and maybe chatting to some people on here you haven't talked to before. I love seeing you guys make friends and it means so much to me every time I wake up in the morning and see a million posts to read through. And as always, if you have any suggestions for how to improve PHF or interviews or functions we could start, you can always let me know! To summarise: I'm sorry that I haven't been around for a while, I promise that I'll be more active in the next week or so and I hope you guys will all join us in making PHF explode again! I love y'all! #MakePHFGreatAgain

Incurable STI Spreading Through Oral Sex
Main Pop Girl replied to Main Pop Girl's topic in World News
I think you're right, that's why he hasn't been around sucking @Tweener's dick lately... It must be so sad to life a life without blowjobs! #PrayForThirdy You and @TheUngaggableWonder need to get together, y'all would be the best dick-sucking duo the world has ever seen! -
Pop music is more varied than it's ever been, and trends are coming, going and overlapping like never before. From tropical pop to Latin vibes to sparsely produced techno-inspired EDM, there's a plethora of genres available for listeners. And if releases from three of the worlds most influential female artists are anything to go by, it seems as though country may be the new waters that the pop world is set to start charting. As tends to be the way, Lady Gaga started the trend with last year's Joanne. Although it received mixed reviews upon release, Joanne has proven to be one of Gaga's most iconic eras, and included the biggest Super Bowl half-time show performance in the history of the game, a sold out world tour, a well-received Coachella performance and some of the best visuals she's put out in years. Joanne also explored an unashamedly hillbilly vibe, from the foot-stomping rock techno fusion in lead single 'Perfect Illusion' to the soulful, heartbroken country diva we hear in the album's biggest hit, 'Million Reasons'. But for all it's successes, there was always something that seemed somewhat insincere about Joanne. Gaga has the laidback attitude and damaged pipes to pull off country music, but her transformation into a backwoods babe never seemed quite fully realised - perhaps because she was still dipping her toes into heavy metal with Metallica and releasing dance-pop bops like 'The Cure'. On the other hand, Kesha's recent release Rainbow has to be one of the most natural progressions into country and rock we've ever seen. Kesha has long expressed an interest in returning to her Nashville roots - 2012's Warrior was originally envisioned as Spandex on the Distant Horizon, a "cock-pop" album (which was to be a fusion of country, rock and pop). But label issues and a well-publicised lawsuit in which she accused former producer Dr. Luke of rape stopped her from making the album of her dreams - until now. Rainbow excels at showing off Kesha's stellar and previously under-utilised songwriting skills, such as with lead single 'Praying' which is sure to never leave a dry eye in the house. But the spirit of the old party girl Ke$ha is still alive in the album, as we can hear in songs like the boisterous 'Woman' or the sassy 'Let 'Em Talk'. Far more than Gaga did with her somewhat pretentious notion of continuing her dead aunt's legacy through a pink hat and a guitar, Kesha has nailed a natural progression from her old pop sound to the cock pop she's long wanted to explore, and we can't wait to see where she goes next. But Kesha and Gaga aren't the only ones to explore country in their new releases. Miley Cyrus's upcoming album Younger Now is also set to explore a countrified sound, and we can't say it's unexpected. Like Kesha, Miley started her life in Nashville surrounded by country music, but has rebelled against her upbringing with recent forays into pop and R&B. Now with new single 'Malibu', Miley has returned to country with acoustic guitar, sprawling vocals and a refreshed, transformative message to match. All we can hope is that Miley is still able to maintain the sassiness she exuded during #Bangerz into some of these new songs - a fully acoustic album would be a little too much for us. So far the country music trend hasn't seemed to pervade the rest of the pop world outside of these three women. There's relatively few indie breakthroughs exploring it, and there don't seem to be any males making waves in pop music with this kind of sound. But with each of these women finding success with their sound, it's unlikely it will stay that way for too long. More interesting is what exactly is causing the shift towards country. Are people searching for true old-fashioned American values in a time when many are questioning what it means to be a patriot under Donald Trump? Or maybe the stories of lone rangers in the wilderness appeal to these three hardly done by women? Let us know your thoughts about the country revolution in the comments below!

Lady Gaga Kicks Off Joanne World Tour

Finally some (semi-) positive comments! Thank you both for choosing postitivity over cruelty, Godga will not forget your actions today. #PromoteOnlineKindness Nothing apart from 'The Cure', but she's hinted she's working on new music so I'm hoping some will be debuted on tour! -
Did you seriously make an account just to drag poor @asexualguy like that?

Ahh, okay. I was wondering what database all those awesome titles came from! And you're totally right about Nicole, she seems to be happier working on messy reality TV projects and working her way through every countries version of The X Factor than working on her music career. So I guess A$AP Rocky won't be on the record then... Love the looks of this! All we need is 'Hallucination' as the closing track and it would be my perfect album.

True, but I would still love to be in the middle of a Jam Sandwich.

Kesha's comeback single 'Praying' was released last month to almost unanimous positive reviews, but it seems as though not everyone is too happy about it. Kesha's former producer and alleged rapist Dr. Luke has come out of hiding once again to confirm that he listened to, and approved, each and every song on Kesha's upcoming Rainbow album: including 'Praying', the feminist anthem that many believed was aimed at him. "There was no change in Kesha's contractual recording obligations -- she has not succeeded on any legal claim or motion to avoid them," said Luke's legal representative in a statement. "Instead, she was always free to record and refused to. Now, as legally required all along, the album was released with Dr. Luke's approval by Kemosabe which is a joint venture label of Dr. Luke and Sony." The statement is an interesting twist in the saga of Kesha and Luke. Last month, Dr. Luke had all ties with Sony Records publicly severed after he was cut from their online roster. He was also confirmed to no longer act as the CEO of Kemosabe, the record label he started which Kesha was signed to alongside Sony. Which begs the question: why does he still have a say in Kesha's releases? Without the contracts in hand, it's difficult to know why someone who is no longer the CEO of a record label that an artist is signed to should have final say on what they release, but we bet it has to do with some strange wording in the legal documents. More interestingly, why is Luke so happy to release an album full of material that is quite explicitly aimed at him? At this point, it seems as though he's just given up on fighting the publics perception of him, and is happy to take their money as long as he can until his contract with Kesha expires. What do you think of the announcement? Does Luke's involvement in the record turn you off buying it? Check out the lead single 'Praying' below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section!

Lady Gaga Kicks Off Joanne World Tour
Main Pop Girl replied to Main Pop Girl's topic in Entertainment News
Here I thought I started this thread for fans of Ms. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and all I got was haters. @Tweener, @lightyears and @itskelan, you make me sick. Your derogatory comments about Mother Monster are uncalled for, unnecessary, and have bene noted. I'm ashamed to have you on my forum. Expect your cease and desist notices soon. -
Give it a week. Brandi always starts out loveable and sane but after a little while she'll turn batshit insane.

From what I've seen so far, it looks like an amazing show! The stage looks cool, the outfits are cohesive but super fun and interesting, and I love the new choreo in songs like 'Dancin In Circles' and 'John Wayne'. Plus, her voice sounds stronger and better than it EVER has. When will your fave sing their hits flawlessly without even a line of backing vocals? I will say I don't understand some of the setlist choices...'Bloody Mary' still baffles me although I'm not mad, and I'm sick of 'Lovegame' and 'Telephone'. But I'm excited to see this. Will you guys be picking up tickets?

Here's episode 1! Not as good as the original but it wasn't a bad show imo...Probably not the kind of thing I'll watch every week but I didn't hate it.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES! Four iconic blondes in there already, this is going to be amazing! Sarah seemed so cute going in and I can definitely see her being a fan favourite, she has a likeable personality. Trisha was getting booed when she first went in but after she talked almost straight to the audience they were cheering for her, she totally turned them around! And Amelia seemed cute as well, I can see her going for. Brandi will be fun for some drama as well...Give it a week and these bitches are gonna be at each others throats so hard. Here's episode 1, this channel should upload things everyday so you can subscribe if you wanna keep updated. They already have the first episode, 'Live From The House' and the after-show up there now.

It's a fun song and okay video imo, but not worthy of being PHF Song of the Week when Lana just released a new album full of great songs. -
